Bakugou stared at me for a long time, almost getting lost in my eyes. His hand was still wrapped around my arm. Kirishima just stood there, unsure of what to do. Bakugou finally shielded his eyes with his hair and released me. I felt his warmth leave me, but still felt it's fragments on my arm.
"Alright," he mumbled, but gently looked up and set his eyes on me, partly angry, "but you'd better not fall again!" he said, glaring at me lightly. I closed my eyes, giving a slight chuckle and smiled.
"I'm not being that foolish again," I said, giving him a reassuring look. He gave me a small smirk. I set my feet on fire, lifting me up slowly, but before I left, I turned to Bakugou again, and gave him another warm smile. "By the way... thank you.. for.. earlier," I mumbled, glancing to the side and giving a slight blush. Bakugou tensed up, having a light blush on his face. He glanced to the side, too.
"I-it's alright," he mumbled. Just as he answered, I turned around and flew up towards the top of the building we were in.
"What did you do?" I heard Kirishima ask.
"N-Nothing!" yelled Bakugou, his voice slightly breaking. I smirked to myself, feeling my cheeks burn up a little. Shaking my head, I focused on my objective. I carefully perched on the roof of the building, and carefully looked at the view, trying not to be seen. I saw the plaza, which was slightly close to where we were. I saw loads of passed out villains scattered all over the place, but my eyes fell on the main attraction. All Might was there, but so was the warp gate guy, someone covered in hands, and a huge deadly creature, which was the closest that I could describe him as. He was holding down something, I couldn't see what, but what freaked me out was that there was a pool of pool from under him. My eyes widened in fear. Please tell me that it's the creature who's bleeding. I couldn't see much, but from the water zone, I could see three heads popping out from there. Suddenly, the hands guy ran towards those three heads, and my heart stopped. His hands reached towards them, and I couldn't bare to watch, but as he touched the head in the middle, nothing happened. The hands guy turned around, looking at the creature. Wait, was his Quirk... erased? No. My heart thumped hard as my eyes set on that pool of blood again, fearing for Aizawa's life. However, the creature took poor Aizawa's head and crushed it into the ground, making my hands grip in anger. My eyes fell on the hands guy as he tried to repeat his actions, but this time, I saw someone raise his hand to the guy. Is that... Midoriya? Before I came up with an answer, the creature almost seemed to teleport in front of the hands guy, stopping the attack. His hands then reached for Midoriya, but once again, something happened that I couldn't explain. The three heads disappeared and ended up next to Aizawa's lifeless body. From squinting to see who it was, I could make out that it was Midoriya, Tsu and Mineta. I'm glad they're okay. Suddenly, All Might appeared from the blind of an eye in front of them. He ended up speeding towards the creature, attacking it, but once again, the creature didn't take any damage. It's like it's the same strength of All Might, maybe even more. Not baring to watch the scene any longer, I flipped over the edge, falling feet first towards the ground. Before I made impact, I lit my feet up, making the ground around me melt to soften the blow. The two boys almost fell backwards.
"Oi, you could warn us, you know!" yelled Bakugou, but I quickly spoke.
"Don't speak, just run," I said, and began sprinting towards the exit. I heard their confused footsteps behind me, trying to keep up.
"What's going on?" asked a concerned Kirishima. I kept my eyes fixated on the exit.
"Trouble," I panted, "A lot of it."
"Well, go on," growled Bakugou, coming up beside me. I narrowed my eyes, almost angry at the situation.
"That warp guy is back, and there's a guy with freaky hands covering him who almost seemed to kill Midoriya and Tsu-" I started but got interrupted.
"Homura!" said a voice. I skidded to a stop, Kirishima almost colliding into me. I turned my head to see Shouto running towards us. I felt small tears form in my eyes as I ran towards him.
"Shouto!" I yelled, my voice almost breaking. We crashed into each other, wrapping our arms around each other. We stayed like that for a minute until he pulled me away.
"Don't you dare do that again!" he said, his voice rising slightly. I clenched my teeth, but my eyes still slightly watering.
"I know, I'm sorry," I said, hanging my head slightly. He gave a relieving sigh as he pulled me into a hug again.
"It's okay, I was just worried something happened to you," he said, his voice breaking a little. I let out a small chuckle.
"Come on, have a little faith in me," I said, feeling him smile a little.
"Oi, you were explaining something, dumbass," growled Bakugou form behind us, "you see each other everyday, why are you acting like-" He was cut off as me and Shouto gave him the same evil glare, making his eyes widen slightly at our reaction. Kirishima let out a nervous chuckle.
"They're twins, Bakugou," he said, gently patting him on the shoulder, "at least we know one of us is okay," he said, trying to change the conversation. Shouto turned to me.
"Yeah, sorry, what were you saying before?" he asked, and I quickly changed my expression to serious and faced all of them.
"I believe Aizawa has been beaten," I said, receiving widened eyes at my observation, "they brought along some creature that's bigger than All Might and probably even stronger than him, too." They all shifted some gasps.
"I gathered that they want to kill him," grunted Shouto, almost angry about it. Bakugou's eyebrows narrowed.
"They can't kill him. He's the number one hero," exclaimed Kirishima. Shouto closed his eyes angrily.
"It seems they managed to find a way to do it," he growled.
"Then let's go," said me and Bakugou at the same time. We exchanged glances, surprised at first, but determined. We all turned on our heels and ran to where I spotted everything. As we reached the side of the plaza, we saw All Might bleeding as that creature had his craws in his sides. It seemed like the warp guy was playing a part in this. Suddenly, Midoriya appeared out of nowhere, running towards All Might. He jumped but we saw the wrap guy appear in front of him. Midoriya's eyes widened with fear. I felt Bakugou's body stiffen. I glanced at him. His eyebrows were narrowed and his eyes filled with rage.
"Bakugou," I said, gaining his attention. I raised my hand, letting fire spill from it, forming it into the same whip I fought with him. He looked at my actions then gave me a grin and a nod. I wrapped the flames around him, spun him around and shot him forward, him using his explosions to get there quicker. He managed to knock the warp guy away in time.
"Move, you're in the way, Deku!" he yelled, not looking at his face. He grabbed the warp guy by a metal plate on this body, and hurled him onto the ground. I grinned at the success we did.
"Homura," said Shouto. I glanced at him and his eyes fell on the fire whip. Understanding what he meant, I repeated the action on Shouto, sending him flying towards the creature. He came to stop a couple meters from it and started to freeze his left half of his body. "I heard that you all are here to kill All Might," he said in a low manner. All Might managed to loosen himself from that grip and land next to Shouto. I had my eye on the hands guy who stood off to the side.
"Kirishima," I said, still running with him. He glanced at me. "Get that hand guy," I said, and wrapped my fire around him, controlling it so it wouldn't burn him. I flung him towards that guy, releasing fire from my feet to move faster to everyone. Kirishima hardened his hands and tried to attack him, but the hands guy moved away.
"Dammit," grunted Kirishima, jumping back, "I didn't get to show off!" I smirked a little at how he looked at everything in a brighter way. I skidded to a stop near Kirishima and Bakugou who still held the warp guy down.
"Stop acting so stuck-up, foggy nobody!" yelled Bakugou.
"The Symbol of Peace cannot be killed by the likes of you," said Shouto in a calmer but sinister tone.
"It's game over," I said, holding my arm up and making fire swirl around it.
"Kacchan," mumbled Midoriya, "everyone..." he seemed to wipe his eyes but managed to put on a brave face. The hands guy stood there motionless. He glanced at the warp guy.
"Kurogiri," he said. His voice gave me the shudders. "Our exit and entrance, has been overcome. We're in a pinch." Bakugou chuckled.
"You careless bastard," he scoffed to the warp guy, "you're just what I thought you'd be. Only certain parts of you can turn into a misty warp gate. The fog gate covers your actual body, right? Back then... if you were completely made of mist and physical attacks couldn't touch you, then you wouldn't have said 'that's dangerous'." He grinned in joy, and I couldn't help but smirk at his analysis. Even though he's reckless, he still knows how to use his head from time to time. I saw the mist move a little, and Bakugou set off little explosions on the metal plate. "Don't move! If I feel like you're moving suspiciously, then I'll blow you up!" he growled. I shook my head a little and my eyes met with Kirishima who's face was similar to mine.
"His behaviour isn't very hero-like..." he chuckled. My attention turned back to the hands guy.
"In addition to capturing them, they're almost all uninjured," he said, almost muttering it to himself, "Kids these days are amazing. They make the League of Villains look bad." I seemed puzzled at why he was acting like this. It reminded me of a stuck up child. The guy turned to the half frozen creature. "Nomu," he sighed. The creature, 'Nomu', let out a terrible shriek, making my blood curl. He started to move through the portal, making mine and Shouto's eyes widen. Nomu pulled himself out of the warp gate, the ice breaking his arm and leg. My mouth parted slightly, and Shouto's opened wider. This was impossible. No one could ever break his ice, and it even took me some time to melt it so I could just wiggle my fingers if I was trapped in it.
"Even though his body is broken, he's still moving!" yelped Midoriya.
"Get back, everyone!" said All Might, putting his arm up. The ice shattered on Nomu, and I could see his flesh. My eyes widened as the flesh seemed to regrow itself. It looked disgusting, but what made terrifying was the fact that if this thing was meant to kill All Might as he's as strong as him, and could regenerate, then the vision I had of All Might winning got darker and darker.
"What? His Quirk wasn't shock absorption?" questioned a concerned All Might.
"I didn't say that was all he had," giggled the hands guy, "this is his super-regeneration. Nomu has been modified to take you at 100%. He's a super-efficient human sandbag." All of us lowered ourselves into a battle position. I let more flames circle both my arms. "First, we need to get our gate back." I tensed up, my eyes instantly falling on Bakugou, who still was holding the warp guy. Without thinking, my legs moved on their own.
"No!" I yelled, extending my hand and making my flames at least try and protect Bakugou. I knew it was helpless, but I couldn't watch him get killed. He... I... trust him.
"Go, Nomu," said the hands guy, and within a flash, Nomu seemed to disappear. Is he that fast? I knew I couldn't make it, believe me I tried. I couldn't make the fire or myself fast enough. I saw Nomu reappear in front of Bakugou, his fist high in the sky. My eyes widened at what I saw. I gritted my teeth, trying so hard, when suddenly, I felt a wave of wind push me to the ground. I instantly put out the fire as I lost all concentration. I blinked several times, trying to quickly make out the situation. I saw the Nomu creature nearby with his fist hovering near the ground. My eyes widened.
"K-Kacchan!" yelled Midoriya, but from the corner of my eye, I saw Bakugou sitting next to me, his eyes wider than anyone's as he looked completely shocked at what had happened.
"Bakugou?!" I exclaimed, making everyone's eyes turn my way.
"Kacchan?!" yelled a confused Midoriya, "y-you dodged? That's amazing!"
"No, shut up, scum!" said Bakugou, his eyes still wide, but he clenched his teeth in anger and confusion.
"Then how...?" started Kirishima, but Shouto's head turned towards the smoke.
"Then that was..." he started, but he couldn't finish his sentence. All Might was there in a wobbling stance, coughing slightly. His arm was up from blocking the attack.
"All Might!" said Midoriya. All Might raised his head in anger.
"Do you not know how to hold back?" he questioned, blood dripping from his mouth.
"It was go rescue my companions," mumbled the hands guy, "I had no choice. I mean, earlier, that plain-looking one." He pointed at Midoriya and I saw Bakugou's eyes glare at him. "He was about to punch me with everything he had, you know. Violence for the sake of others makes it admirable. Isn't that right, hero?" he said, addressing All Might who stiffened a little. "You know what, All Might? I'm angry. I'm angry at this world that categories the same violent act as heroic or villainous, deciding what's good or bad! What's with this 'Symbol of Peace'? You're just a deuce to repress violence. Violence only breeds violence. The world will know this, once we kill you!" He let out occasional giggles, almost like a child. It was clear he didn't understand how the world worked, and he seemed to have that idea stuck in his head, defending his point with everything he had.
"That's preposterous," mumbled All Might, "the eyes of white-collar criminals, like you burn silently. You just want to enjoy this yourself, don't you, you liar?!" From behind that hand covering his face, I saw his two beady eyes glare at All Might, sending a shiver down my spine.
"It's three against five," said Shouto, stepping forward next to me.
"Kacchan already exposed the fog's weakness!" said Midoriya.
"These guys are crazy, but if we backup All Might," started Kirishima, then hardened his hands, "we can push them back!"
"No!" roared All Might, walking forward, and making our confused eyes look at him, "run away." My eyes widened a little bit, almost hurt by what he said.
"You would have been in trouble if I hadn't done anything earlier, right?" said Shouto, raising his right arm.
"That was a different story, young Todoroki," grumbled All Might, "thanks. But it's fine! Just watch as a pero gives it everything he's got." He clenched his fist at us, and I couldn't help but feel worried but anxious to help.
"All Might, you're bleeding," whimpered Midoriya, and started to mumble something else. All Might turned to the three villains, his chest puffed up and looking strong and confident.
"Nomu, Kurogiri. Get him," sighed the hands guy, "I'll deal with the children." As he said that, I tensed up, not in fear, but in strength and courage. I have to prove to myself that I didn't get these burns for nothing. The hands guy ran towards us.
"Oi, we've gotta do this after all!" said Kirishima. Suddenly, the hands guy stopped, then looked to the side, almost in a panic, and we saw the Nomu guy react as fast as All Might was, colliding fists and making the air around us blowing like crazy. My hair flew around widely, and I had to squint my eyes and put my arm in front of them. I felt myself struggling to balance, but felt Shouto's arm around my back.
"A head-on fistfight?" mumbled Midoriya, his voice a little different from the air gushing past our ears.
"W-Wow," said Kirishima, almost falling over from another sudden gust of wind. I instinctively reached my arm out and grabbed his, pulling him forward to regain his balance. He gave me a grin in return, struggling a little from the wind.
"If your Quirk isn't shock nullification, but shock absorption, then there's a limit to it, right?" The fight, although sometimes hard to see from the wind, seemed to get faster, and I think I started to see blood flying away from All Might's body. "Made to fight me? If you can withstand me at 100%, then I'll force you to surrender from beyond that!" With that, he punched Nomu through the trees, but All Might followed, continuing their battle. "A hero can always break out of a tough spot!" My eyes widened. It was like he was giving us a lesson. His words stuck to me like glue. Our mouths all dropped open as we watched this injured hero throw Nomu to the ground with a loud crash. "Hey villain, have you ever heard these words?! Go Beyond! Plus Ultra!" All Might sent one final punch on Nomu, sending it through the roof of the building. No one could believe their eyes, not even Bakugou. I've never seen his face this shocked before.
"W-what?" I managed to breathe.
"Is this some comic book?" mumbled Kirishima, his eyes never leaving the hole in the wall "it's like he nullified the shock absorption. His brute strength is crazy!"
"What insane power..." mumbled Bakugou, "does this mean he rushed at him so fast he couldn't regenerate?" I noticed Shouto's lips tighten shut. He made a face of determination, like admiring and wanting to be like All Might, right at the top. Bakugou's face seemed almost scared, completely in shock of what he had witnessed. All Might turned to the villains as the smoked cleared.
"Now, villains," he started, looking at the shaking hands guy, "I'm sure we'd all like to end this as soon as possible." The hands guy started to mumble to himself, shaking with anger. He started to scratch his neck, almost to the point where it could bleed. "What's wrong? You're not coming?" teased All Might, "you said you'd 'clear' this or something, right? Come and get me if you can." The hands guy let out a whimper as he stumbled backwards. I couldn't help but let out a small smirk, finding it funny for someone as childish as this guy to talk such big words to suddenly spiral down into a mouse.
"All... Might..." breathed Bakugou.
"As expected," said Shouto, "it looks like there is no need for us to fight." I lowered my hands as I put my guard down.
"Midoriya, we should get out of here now!" said Kirishima, starting to head towards the exit, "it'll be worse if we ended up getting taken hostage instead." All Might continued to taunt the hands guy. He started to scratch his neck and curse to himself, while the warp guy seemed to look over at us. I caught his eyes, raising an eyebrow slightly. Bakugou and Kirishima turned around, Shouto glancing at what they were looking at. "All Might will do something about the main bad guys. Let's go help out the others!" said Kirishima, his arms hardening.
"Midoriya? Homura?" asked Shouto. I didn't pay attention. I don't know what Midoriya was looking at, but my eyes were fixated on the two villains. I didn't like how the hands guy had a sudden change of motion. He had stopped scratching, and the warp guy had occasionally glanced at us. I didn't like this feeling I had all of a sudden. Suddenly, the two of them moved towards All Might, and I felt a sudden burst of wind next of me. Midoriya was suddenly over there, his fist in the air.
"Midoriya!" I yelled, lighting my fire, creating a line of fire to try and pull him back. I saw the hands guy push both of his hands into the warp guy, one hand appearing in front of Midoriya, and one in front of me. My eyes widened. All I saw was his hand. Fear built up inside me. The flames shot out from my face, trying to burn him. However, his open palm seemed to push the fire away, like sticking his hand in water, except the fire seemed to crackle and go out, like blowing out a candle. Once again, my sense of sound left. I heard nothing, not even the muffled cries of the boys next to me. I constantly produced the fire, feeling a sting on the side my neck. Shit, not now! Don't you dare do that! Suddenly, the hand moved away, blood dripping down from it. I blinked serval times, getting my hearing back. I heard a faint gunshot, and Midoriya's thump as he hit the ground. Everyone's heads shifted to the side. We saw a figure standing by the building's entrance.
"Sorry, everyone!" rang a voice, a comforting but stern voice, "sorry we're late! I gathered all who were immediately available!"
"I, Class 1-A representative, Iida Tenya, have now returned!" yelled another familiar voice. I sighed in relief, my eyes almost blurred from tears. They're here! They're finally here!
