A new beginning. A whole new meaning of independence, in some form. The process of moving out was intense, but now it's happening. We learnt that me and Shouto weren't sharing a room, which was fine by us, as now we'd learnt how to be more independent and take care of our own space, but we both secretly would feel slightly alone in our rooms. Before departing our home for school for the final time, Fuyumi and Natsuo stood at the door giving us all the love they could give, constantly reminding us to call and text them all the time to catch up. Shouto and I told them that if they continued, we'd be late for class. They hurried us out the door after giving us one final hug. Shouto and I took our first step out the door, and it felt odd leaving this time. In any case, we walked calmly to school, but our minds were rushing with the overwhelming excitement about our new home. As we walked past the school gate, a couple of our classmates were already there waiting. The girls rammed into me, all of their arms wrapping around me in excitement.
"Can you even believe it?" beamed Mina. I smiled in response.
"I wonder what our rooms are like," questioned Tsu. As everyone was chatting, my eyes trailed away for a moment and locked with Bakugou's. My cheeks instantly went red, as well as his, but he quickly shot me a smirk and wink. I smirked back, feeling my fingers clench around my skirt as my heart thumped hard against my chest. When everyone arrived, we were escorted around the main campus, and were enlightened to see a whole row of buildings, one of them saying 'Class 1-A Alliance'. All of our eyes widened in surprise and awe. It was nothing like we had expected. It was way better. We all smiled with joy, until getting our attention pulled to Aizawa.
"For now, I'm just glad that we were able to bring Class 1-A back together again," he started, directly his attention to Bakugou, Toru and Kyoka.
"Everyone was allowed to enter the dorms, huh?" said Sero.
"I had a hard time!" sighed Toru.
"That's normal..." breathed Kyoka.
"The two of you were directly affected by the gas," mentioned Ojiro.
"We were all able to be together again because of the teachers," said Tsu, "when I watched the press conference, I thought we'd lose them, and it made me sad."
"Yeah," Uraraka agreed.
"I was surprised, too," continued Aizawa, "well, I'm sure everyone has different circumstances. Now, I'll explain briefly about the dorms, but first, for now, we will focus on getting the provisional licences we were planning to have you get during the training camp." Our ears perked up.
"Oh yeah, they did talk about that!" said Sato.
"So much happened that I forgot about it," said Mina.
"This is important. Listen up," continued Aizawa, "Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, the Todoroki twins, Midoriya, Iida. These six went to go save Bakugou that night." Everyone shivered in fear, half in shock and disbelief. "Your reactions tell me that you all were at least aware of it. I'm going to set aside a number of issues and say this: if it weren't for All Might's retirement, I would've expelled everyone except Bakugou, Jiro, and Hagakure. Of course the six that went, but also the twelve who knew but didn't stop them betrayed our trust, no matter what the reason. I would be grateful if you could follow the proper procedures and act properly in order to regain that trust. That is all. Now, we're going inside. Let's have some energy!" All of us stood in shock as Aizawa spoke, not sure how to process his sudden tense speech.
"No, wait, how are we supposed to right now...?" we breathed. The group was silent as we tried to overcome this thick tension. It felt a little awkward. I kept my head facing the ground, until a familiar tut broke the silence.
"Come here," grunted Bakugou, grabbing Kaminari.
"Huh? What? No!" yelled Kaminari as Bakugou dragged him behind a bush. I wondered what they were doing until a burst of electricity came out from behind the bush, with Kaminari being pushed out with his usual deflated face when he overused his Quirk. Kyoka immediately burst out laughing, trying her hardest to keep quiet.
"What? What did Bakugou do...?" asked Sero, even trying to conceal laughter. I let out a smile until I noticed Bakugou walking towards the group.
"Kirishima!" he said, heading to him, who stood next to me. He held out some money towards him.
"Wait, you're scared me! What is this, did you shake someone down for money?" yelled Kirishima.
"No! I withdrew this money," Bakugou explained, "you used up all your allowance, right?" I raised an eyebrow and looked at Kirishima.
"Did you use your money to buy this goggles for the night?" I asked, a little concerned.
"Y-yeah, but, how did you hear-?" Kirishima stuttered but stopped when Bakugou slapped the money on his chest, giving him a small glare before taking my arm and walking away.
"B-Bakugou?" I asked, and looked back to Kirishima.
"If you keep having to scrimp and save, then it'll make me feel bad," Bakugou said, ignoring me, "show your dumb side, as usual." I glared at him but stopped when I heard the group laughing at Kaminari, and seeing Kirishima smile at me and Bakugou.
"Sorry," mumbled Kirishima, smirking. I smiled and turned back to Bakugou.
"Since when did you become this nice?" I teased, expecting him to explode at me with anger, but surprisingly, he didn't. He glanced at me, and I thought I saw a slight tint of pink on his cheeks as he held my arm tighter. I felt my heartbeat quicken as I realised. I smiled and gave him a small peck on his warm cheeks. He grumbled but let out a small smile as we kept walking with the warm laughter of the others in the background.
