It was now 5:30, long after the time we were supposed to be at the base. All of us were breathing extremely heavy. Our Quirks had reached way past our limits. My skin was starting to burn, beginning to hurt a little. Shouto's clothes were either frozen or burnt. Bakugou kept clutching his arms in pain. All of us were experiencing the side effects of our Quirks, making us look close to collapsing from exhaustion. As we got close to the adults, half of us fell onto the ground.
"What do you mean, three hours?!" someone yelled.
"That's the time it would've taken us, sorry!" said the two cat heroes.
"You were trying to boast about how much better you are?"
"That's mean..."
"I'm hungry... I'm gonna die..." The blond hero started to laugh in a catlike way.
"But honestly, I thought it would take even longer," she said, "you guys didn't have as hard a time beating my earth beasts as I thought you would. You guys are great... especially... you five! Were you able to act without hesitation because of your experience?" She began to lick her lips as she stared at the four boys. "I'm looking forward to where you'll be in three years! I call dibs!" She dove forward towards them, arms outstretched and making kissing noises. I watched as she started to move around the circle of boys. I giggled as she past Shouto but a nerve struck when she went to Bakugou. I couldn't help but stand in front of him, glaring at the hero with red hot eyes.
"Sorry, but he's taken," I firmly said. The hero stopped and turned to me. Her head got closer to mine as she gave me a look.
"Why does that matter? You've still got three years left of school," she said, her voice growling slightly. I got brave and got my head closer to hers, giving her the same look she gave me.
"Don't try me, he'll still be taken," I growled back. We heard Aizawa and the other hero talking together, leading to Midoriya to break our rivalry.
"Speaking of 'suitable age'-" he said, until the hero put her clawed paws over his face.
"What about it?" she asked, her voice and expression to same from when she spoke to me.
"I-It's been bothering me for a while..." said a muffled Midoriya, and he raised a finger, "whose child is that?"
"Oh, not one of ours," replied the other brown haired hero, "he's my cousin's kid. Come on, Kota. Greet everyone. You'll be with them for the next week." The kid stayed silent as he glared at all of us. After some silence, Midoriya made his way over to him.
"Oh, um, I'm Midoriya from UA High School's Hero Course," he said, and bent over to shake his hand, "Nice to meet you." Just as he finished his sentence, Kota punched Midoriya near his crotch. My eyes widened, completely shocked of what had happened. Iida rushed beside Midoriya, catching him as he started to fall.
"Midoriya!" he yelled, "You brute of a nephew! Why would you do that to Midoriya's scrotum?!" Kota turned around with anger in his eyes.
"I don't intend to hang out with guys who want to become heroes!" he replied. I was quite taken aback by him. I heard Bakugou chuckle behind me.
"Precocious brat," he said. I turned to see his expression a bit more relaxed as he grinned at the young boy.
"Isn't he kind of like you?" said Shouto, leading me to laugh out loud. Bakugou's face changed fast.
"What? Not at all! Oi, you! Stop laughing!" he yelled, reducing my laughter to a small giggle. Bakugou turned back to Shouto. "Anyway, shut up, you GG bastard! And tell your sister to stop laughing at me!" I kept on giggling. Shouto glanced at me and smiled slightly.
"Not my job," he said, and faced away from Bakugou. I smiled at Shouto.
"Enough with this charade," said Aizawa, "get your stuff off the bus. Once you've put your bags in your rooms, we'll have dinner in the cafeteria. After that, you'll bathe and go to sleep. We'll start for real tomorrow. Now, move quickly." We all heaved our heavy bodies over to the bus. I found my bags along with Shouto's passing it to him. As I did, I found Bakugou's.
"Bakugou?" I said, and he glanced at me, "I found your bag." Bakugou simply took it and walked away quickly. I found that quite odd. I just took it as him being tired, and that's how he was anyway, but it still felt weird. Did I do or say something wrong? Was he still angry that I laughed at Shouto's comment towards him? As we brought our bags to our rooms, we all headed to the cafeteria. On each table were piles of food. We all eagerly sat down, slapping our hands together.
"Thanks for the food!" we yelled, and dove right it. I sat next to Shouto, across from Kyoka and Sero. I immediately started piling my plate with food. It all looked so good.
"Homura. Be a bit more decent," Shouto said, looking disgusted as I filled my mouth with food.
"Shut up! You've got more food than me on your plate," I said, glaring at him. He groaned and started to eat more like me.
"Really? So the girl's room is a normal size?" asked Sero.
"Are the boys in a big room?" asked Kyoka.
"I'd say it's a normal sized," said Shouto, not looking up.
"I wanna see it!" said Mina, turning around to our table, "Hey, can I go see it later?"
"Sure, come whenever!" smiled Sero. Mina started to get excited and eat faster. It was then I caught the gaze of Bakugou. As soon as our eyes met, he looked down, shielding his eyes with his hair. I didn't understand. I wasn't sure if I caught him blushing, either. As soon as we finished, the girls headed to their rooms.
"I need a bath after today!" moaned Mina, frantically trying to find her towel.
"Same! Where's the shower room?" asked Ochacho.
"It should be down the hall," said Momo, grabbing her towel and standing near our door. As soon as we got our stuff ready, we headed down the long hallway in front of our room. As we walked closer, it began to get a little hotter, and we soon saw steam coming out from under a door.
"It must be here!" said Mina, running in front of us and opening the door. We were all greeted by a beautiful sight. It was a large, open-aired bathing room. The bath itself was extremely big, steam coming out from the water. There was assorted plants and trees around the area, and it was certainly inviting. We all grinned at each other and started to get undressed, wrapping ourselves in our white towels.
"Ah! This is heavenly," sighed Ochacho, as she sat in the water.
"Definitely," croaked Tsu, letting her body float on the water.
"This feels great!" yelled Mina, raising her body up with glee.
"I love that there are hot springs here," sighed Kyoka. We all soon took off our towels and just sat naked in the bath, letting the water soak our skin.
"Hey, aren't the boys on the other side of that wall?" asked Mina. We all looked up at the tall wooden wall. We could hear male voices that came from the other side of it.
"Wait, that means..." said Ochacho, immediately covering herself. We knew what was going to happen. We then heard Iida shouting.
"What you are doing is demeaning for both yourself and the girls!" he said. We all glanced at each other, a bit worried now. However, as we heard Mineta chuckling with banging coming from the other side of the wall, we saw a silhouette on top of it.
"Is that Kota?" I asked, to which we stayed silent, waiting for something to happen. We then heard silence.
"Before learning to be a hero, you need to learn about being human," he said, before slapping Mineta and we heard him tumble to the ground. We all sighed in relief.
"Mineta is the worst, huh?" said Tsu. We all smiled, looking up at Kota.
"Thanks, Kota!" yelled Mina, raising her thumbs to the young boy. However, he seemed to get embarrassed as we heard him fall from the side of the wall.
"Guys! Catch him!" I ended up yelling, standing up from the water. As I hoped, I didn't hear a huge thud.
"Don't worry, I got him!" we heard Midoriya shout. We all sighed in relief.
"I'm going to slap that pervert," growled Kyoka.
"Do you think if Pixie-Bob was our age that she would climb over the wall to see the boys?" asked Tsu, her finger against her chin.
"T-Tsu!" blushed Ochacho. The girls laughed.
"I mean, they are right over the wall," chuckled Mina with an evil smirk on her face.
"Mina! Don't follow Mineta's footsteps!" said Momo, crossing her arms.
"Huh? Don't compare me to that creep!" Mina yelled, but she looked at me, "Homura? Don't you want a sneak peek?" I blushed hard.
"Eh?" I said, completely confused.
"Bakugou's over there," Mina said, getting closer, "why don't we help you up to get a look at him... or have you seen him already?" Her eyebrows twitched as he spoke. My face turned extremely red.
"N-No! W-We h-haven't... n-no!" I said, barely forming a word. The others started to play along.
"Haven't you even stayed round each other's houses?" asked Kyoka, her expression the same as Mina's.
"N-No! I've only been there once!" I said, waving my hands in protest.
"What was it for?" asked Tsu, smiling hard.
"I-I met his parents," I said, getting nervous.
"How were they?" Momo asked.
"His father is very nice. His mum is nice too, but I can understand where Bakugou gets his anger from," I said, chuckling a little. The others laughed along with me. Slowly, the conversation turned from me towards other topics, which I was relieved about, but I couldn't stop blushing about what they talked about. I blushed harder thinking about it. I have seen Bakugou shirtless... and it was... nice... but that was because he took it off while we were training together. No big deal! I slapped my cheeks, trying to get rid of these crazy thoughts. When we finished our bathing session, we all went to our room and changed into something comfortable. They all started to get ready for bed, but I wanted to go out for a while to train and walk around for a little. I excused myself and went through the long hallways, finding an exit to small opening of grass and trees. I didn't feel the chill of the wind, just the heat from my own Quirk and cheeks. Stop it! I need to concentrate. I breathed in slowly, and got into a starting pose. I wanted to practise my physical skills as I depended a lot on my Quirk today. For a couple minutes, I kicked and punched the air, reacting fast and cautious, as if I was actually fighting someone. I began to get really into it, imagining people in front of me, adding ducking and jumping into my movements. It wasn't until I punched the air behind me that I felt someone grab my hand mid-punch.
"You should be more aware of your surroundings if you're training like that," said a low growl of a voice. I turned around in surprise.
"Bakugou? What are you doing out here this late?" I asked, getting out of my fighting stance.
"I could ask you the same question," he replied. I raised an eyebrow.
"Are you blind? Didn't you see what I was doing?" I asked sarcastically. Bakugou changed his face to anger, but calmed himself down.
"I know. I followed you here," he said, coming closer.
"Creep," I said, glaring at him slightly.
"Hmph," he grunted, grinning a little. I looked at him questioning as he got closer. I put my hand forward, stopping him from moving.
"Why were you avoiding me after we got here?" I asked, a little annoyed. Bakugou's eyebrows rose, but he closed his eyes.
"I had to," he simply said. I looked fiercely at him, waiting for him to tell me why. My eyes shone bright and he slightly grinned, pulling a few strands of hair from my forehead before I slapped his hand away so he could tell me. He sighed. "When that crazy blond cat woman started being weird, you stood in front of me, telling her to back off." He looked up at me with calm eyes, his cheeks blushing hard. "And you girls were talking so loudly earlier and I heard everything you guys were talking about." My eyes widened and my face turned bright red, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. "I don't think I've ever known someone who talks about me like that. I had to avoid you so I wouldn't do anything you wouldn't want anyone to see, especially that Half-and-Ha - I mean, your brother to see." As I listened, my cheeks just got redder and my eyes became more relaxed. I could feel my heartbeat going crazy. Bakugou brought his hand again up to my face and brushed my hair behind my ear, looking at me with pure affection. He then nuzzled his nose against my warm cheek, later feeling his lips against my cheeks, making their way down to my neck. It felt... so nice. I let him kiss my neck softly, even letting him bite it. It wasn't until I snapped back to reality and pulled his head away.
"Wait! It'll leave a mark!" I said, getting really embarrassed. Bakugou smiled.
"I don't care. I want everyone to know that you're mine," he said, bringing his forehead against mine.
"They already know you're mine," I chuckled. He joined in a little, then looked me in the eyes, despite how close we were.
"Homura," he said. The way he said my name made my heart jump. I could feel it against my skin. I looked at his eyes as his looked at my lips. "Homura... I..."
"Oi! What are you guys doing out here?" We both jumped in surprise. In a panic, I pushed Bakugou away in a fit.
"Ah! N-Nothing!" I yelled, trying to cover my red face. I faced the person who spoke to see it was the brown haired hero, putting something in the trash. She smiled.
"Well, come inside! It's cold and you don't want Eraser seeing you out here this late," she said, gesturing the door to us. Still embarrassed, I walked past Bakugou and towards the hero. I bent down, calmly apologising and went inside, heading to my room. Bakugou followed closely behind. When we were out of eyesight of the hero, Bakugou pulled me in for a hug. I accepted it, pulling him close to my chest. I smiled, but wondered what he was going to say, but was still embarrassed to ask. Instead, Bakugou brought my head up to his, catching my lips with his. It was short but sweet. He smiled warmly at me and walked away to his room, his hands shoved in his pockets. I watched him leave my sight and crept into my room. The girls were still awake, and asked me where I went. We spoke for a little before we all slept from the exhausting task we did earlier today. Before falling asleep, I wondered what Bakugou was trying to say, my cheeks heating up as I thought about what he spoke about. I shook my head and turned in my bed. No, no, no! Stop thinking those weird thoughts. I touched where he had bit my neck. He wasn't thinking the same thing... was he?
