Perfection For Us (Bleach Story) Ch.76 Aichi Abarai

Mako had been attacking  even more feriousciouly in the past few months. But still the soul society stuck with Ishi’s plan and held back. Again they would still have people fresh in combat. Toshiro got the worst new of his life. “Ishi was injured in combat…” The words echoed in his head as he told Rangiku to follow orders and keep the gate protected. Rangiku nodded and said, “GO.” Toshiro hurried. He used flash step. He went to the hospital. “Where is she?” He asked. The nursed flinched. “Calm down sir. She’s in surgery getting her arm sewn up. She’ll be alright.” The woman said kindly. “And the child?” Toshiro asked. “Sir what do you think she was protecting to get a giant slash going from wrist to shoulder on her arm. She was guarding her child. It’s alright too. A little jostled but alive and healthy.” The nurse said. “When does she get out?” Toshiro asked slumping putting his head in his hands. “In a few hours they have to do some work on her blood vessels. But could you go get Mr. Abarai. We’ve had to do an emergency C-section on Hizume. The baby will be a few week Premature.” The nurse said. Toshiro’s eyes widened. “We’ve stabilized her now. She’s about to go into the procedure so please-“Toshiro was already gone.

“ABARAI!” Toshiro yelled. Renji turned. “Come now!” Toshiro said. “What’s going on sir?” Renji asked following. “Hizume.” This made Renji run even faster than Toshiro. “Where is she?” Renji asked sliding into the front of the desk slamming his hands down. The nurse was expecting this. “Please follow Juno.” She said pointing to the nurse. “This way sir.” The nurse said.  Renji followed he was shaking. “How is Ishi doing?” Toshiro asked. “Better. They’re over half way done. You can go wait in room 9. That’ll be where they’ll bring her.” The nurse said pointing. Toshiro nodded and went to the room. He sat and waited in the chair that rested in the corner.

Renji on the other hand was being to be forced to wait outside until a nurse approached. ‘Sir would you like to hold him?” She said with a smile. Renji blinked and looked at him. He had Hizume’s hair that was for sure. The nurse gently put him into Renji’s arms. “Sorry you had to wait outside but we had to deal with Hizume’s injuries and her child so there was no more room. She’s being stitched up and treated for burns now. Soon you can go in and see her.” Renji though only just heard what the woman said staring at the small boy that was in his arms. The boy’s eyes opened. Its eyes were like his only they had a more reddish hue. The nurse smiled when she saw that Renji was happy. A few minutes later Renji walked in. Hizume eyed the baby. “Is that?” she asked. Renji nodded. Hizume held out her bandaged hands. Renji sat down beside her as he handed her their child. “Little Aichi. Aichi Abarai.” Hizume said giggling a little as Aichi cooed. “He’s healthy for a premature. They say he’s in his prime. He won’t even have to stay in the hospital for more than a few days.” Renji said. Hizume smiled and kissed Renji’s cheek as she let Aichi play with her finger.

Toshiro on the other hand was still waiting. Then finally they brought Ishi in. Her left arm was in thick bandages and her leg was bandaged but not as think. On her head was some gauze and medical tape. Toshiro moved his chair closer as Ishi began to stir. Her eyes opened. “The baby…?” she muttered. Toshiro too her good arm and held her hand carefully. “IS safe you guarded him. Hochi is fixing your gloves.” Toshiro said. Ishi gave him a devilish smirk. “You sure it’s a he?” she laughed. “Well you and Hizume have a lot in common. Her son was born today.” Toshiro said. Ishi’s eyes widened. “Can we go see him?” she asked. Toshiro tutted and shook his head. “Not right now. You look like you were dragged through a paper shredder.” He said. Ishi rolled her eyes and used her good hand to pull Toshiro down to where she could kiss him. When she pulled back she muttered. “How dare you keep me away from my nephew?” She said tsking. Toshiro laughed a little. Ishi’s eyes narrowed “You should be guarding the gate.” She said. “Rangiku’s got it under control.” Ishi sighed. “Go back to your duty now. I’ll be fine.” Ishi said. Toshiro’s brow furrowed but he stood knowing she wouldn’t take no for an answer. If anything she’d have him thrown out. “I’ll check in on you when they retreat.” Toshiro said. Ishi sighed and nodded. Toshiro left.

After he was gone Ishi called for a nurse to bring Renji over. Renji knowing what she’d want to see already had Aichi. Ishi smiled when Renji let her see him. She couldn’t hold him because of her arm, but he looked lovely. “What a beautiful baby. Then again, Hizume is his mother. You on the other hand…” Ishi teased. Renji laughed it off though. “I figured you’d want to see him. They just got through giving him his first bottle.” Renji said. Ishi said, “No wonder he’s so content.” Renji shook his head. “He wasn’t content on the way over here. I think he just knows his Aunt is here ready to kick my ass if I make him cry.” Renji laughed. Ishi giggled. “Thank you Renji.” Ishi said. Renji nodded and left knowing that was his cue to leave. Ishi sighed and went to sleep her good hand on her own child. Renji looked so happy. Would that be how Toshiro looked when he saw their child?
