Perfection For Us (Bleach Story) Ch.28 The Fight And The Arrival

Ishi and Hizume stopped at the door that behind were the men who dared to copy the people they cared about. With this in mind they destroyed the door. When the smoke cleared their breathing almost stopped it was true. The hollows bore the faces of Ishi’s brother Ichi Mai and Hizume’s first young love Yui Saga. Then Ishi pounced forward and drew her sword and aimed straight for “Ichi”. “Ichi” could hear the real Ichi cheering his sister on as their swords met. Ishi was relentless in her attack. Before “Yui” could move he was caught up in battle with Hizume. There was no getting rid of her now. “Yui” bore down on the weakened soul reaper captain but Hizume didn’t give ground as she moved her sword in an arc and slashed his face. Ishi was not letting up on her attack. Then she suddenly went on defensive. “Ichi” saw this as his chance to win. He bore down on her. Ishi did not give nor gain ground she just stood their blocking the blows. Then she suddenly went on offensive. He couldn’t read her plan. Would she tire him out while he tried to kill her or would she attack him until she killed him? He couldn’t read her. All he could tell was that she was up to something and he didn’t know what it was and it was beginning to annoy him.

Yui also could not tell what Hizume was doing. Hizume was attacking and dodging but so far her damage had been minimal. It was confusing him. So the two sets of foes fought. They were both almost perfect. So far no one was winning at all. Ishi couldn’t die now not after she fell in love. Hizume couldn’t crush Renji’s heart with her death so she was fighting to preserve her life as well. It was the love and support of their friends and lovers that guided their blade. Their memories whispered in their mind giving them advice.  They moved with pure instinct of fighting and pure will to live. And on the battle wore on. Even in their weakened state they posed a threat. That was when it became clear that they were weakening! Finally after the long battle they were beginning to weaken finally. Ishi could feel the tiredness aching in her bones. She’d need to use bankai but she had no reason to unleash that on him yet. Only when she had to was when she unleashed her bankai. But right now it was looking like she might be forced to whether she wanted to or not. Hizume was beginning to feel the strain on her torn body. If she didn’t amp up the ante she would die. “Shred and shine! Houseki no Joo!” she said.

 Then she cracked the whip missing by the barest breath of an inch. She swung it again this time catching his leg.  “Yui” cried out in pain. Hizume was able to relax and let her arm do all of the work. It was pure natural instinct to fight with her whip. Ishi looked for the barest of seconds and for the smallest amount of time there was an opening that “Ichi” used to his advantage. He slashed down her chest. Blood escaped her lips as she skidded back. Then she raised her sword and said “Freeze Kori!” “Ice patch.” She said ice covered her wound stopping the bleeding. Then she spun the hilt by the ribbon. “Ice whirlwind.” She yelled. The whirlwind began to envelop Ichi.

Renji and Toshiro had to make quick work of getting though the sertei to the woods which was no easy task. They wanted to avoid confrontation for as long as possible which was going good. They were already in the woods running fast. Moving as quickly as they could to help Ishi and Hizume. “Captain Hitsuguya!” Renji called up ahead of him. “What?” Toshiro yelled back. “Do you think they are alright? I mean their spiritual pressure has dropped a lot.” Renji said. “I believe in them they’re still alive and that’s what counts.” Toshiro yelled back. Renji nodded and yelled, “Can we pick up the pace?” Toshiro nodded and they moved even faster trying to make it to their loved ones side.

Ishi was fighting with her heart and soul and as was Hizume. “Ichi” and “Yui" were fighting just to rid the world of them. Then they heard. “Ishi!” and “Hizume!” the fighting paused. They saw two people. Hizume said, “Renji.” Ishi cried out “Toshiro…Why!”
