"What are you doing here Sophia? Your suppose to be at Camreigh's!" I shouted when August and I walked through the front door carrying an unhealthy amount of alcohol and chips.
She gave me a bratty glare when Camreigh came down the stairs.
Sophia crossed her arms and looked at all of the stuff we had in our hands and scoffed.
"Your throwing another stupid party aren't you?!" She asked as I stood there dumbstruck looking back at August hoping he could come up with a good excuse but it was pretty obvious what we were doing.
"Yeah maybe, don't worry about it" I said putting down the party supplies.
"Mom and dad are gonna kill you!" She said giving me that same judgmental glare our mother gave me all the time.
Camreigh just stood there silent like she did most of the time.
"Don't worry about! Go play dolls or whatever it is you little kids do okay?" I said making August laugh.
"Were sixteen we don't play with dolls anymore!" Sophia hissed, I just laughed.
"Why can't you be more like Camreigh at least she's quiet!" I roared and she rolled her eyes at me.
Camreigh just stood there with a water in her hand and acted like he wasn't even there.
"Camreigh! Hello! Aren't you going to back me up here?" I chanted at her with my eyes slanted.
She just shrugged her shoulders and took another sip of water.
"I don't think it's that big of a deal...... and we were just talking about how we wanted to be different people this year, maybe if he let us come then maybe you could draw back the claws some. After all it is just a party" she added acting like siding with my big brother was gonna put her in his sweet gracious.
Peter looked at me with both eye brows raised and then back at Camreigh.
"Your friend does have a point there!" He said arrogantly, I huffed and shook my head at her.
"Dude tenth graders at the party not cool!" August yelped cramming chips into his mouth when Peter yanked the bag from his hand and gave him a dirty look.
"I would rather have to deal with my sister and her dorky friend than my mothers rath of excruciating punishment" he said with his head cocked to the side moving his hands.
August looked over at me and rolled his eyes. "Just make yourselves scarse okay?" Peter said looking over at Camreigh and giving her a friendly wink, and then back over at me.
I knew this wasn't going to end well and I knew Peter would undoubtedly do something that would get his own self in trouble but at this point I was okay with seeing him fall on his face.
"Okay, so we have a deal? You wont rat me out to mom and dad?" Peter asked me already cracking out a beer.
I looked over at Camreigh who was begging me with her eyes as they widened and looked downward, as much as I knew of how bad of an idea it was I did it for my best friend.
"Fine. Whatever" I said when I heard Camreigh let out a silent yes! Underneath her breath as August and Peter high fived one another.
I turned around to look at Cam who had a huge smile on her face and she mouthed the words Thank You to me. I just nodded, maybe tonight wouldn't be as bad as I thought.
