"Come on Peter pick up!" I said as I walked briskly down the stairs to get my shoes. Still no answer, Okay! Camreigh it's fine. Everything is going to be okay. You just have to get out of this house and talk to him face to face. If he's not going to answer your thirty return calls. I went to the wall beside the door to grab dad's car keys when I noticed they were gone and that he had left a note.
Camreigh ,
I'm at your uncle Ray's house playing cards, you were asleep so I didn't want to wake you. I'll probably be home late so don't wait up just let me know if you go somewhere with Peter.
Love ya, Dad.
"Shoot!" I said stomping my feet like a child with his note in my hand. "This can't be happening!!" I said as I switched to my tennis shoes and headed outside. I guess I would just have to walk to his house. "Ugh! Why is the universe against me today!!" I shouted as I shut the door behind me and started walking towards Peter's at a normal pace. I tried one more time with a small ounce of hope that Peter would answer this time, but unfortunately it went straight to his voicemail. That was all I needed to hear to get me to Peter's faster so I shoved my useless phone into my back pocket and started running. I had to talk to Peter before it was to late to do so.
Meanwhile back at the Kavinskys:
"Shit! I broke my phone, Sophia give me yours!" Peter demanded after barging into her room rudely. She rolled her eyes and ignored him so Peter took it upon himself to yank the phone from his sisters hands and started scrolling looking for Camreigh's number but he couldn't find it. Sophia started to laugh, at Peter's ridiculous behavior and effort to find a number she no longer had. "Sophia why are you laughing? Where is Cam's number? I need it!!" he shouted when Sophia got up and yanked her phone away from him before she stared yelling. "I DELETED IT! I TOLD YOU FORREAL THIS TIME I AM DONE WITH HER AND NOW IM DONE WITH YOU TOO!" Sophia screamed only drawing more attention to the both of them as the fighting got worse.
"What in God's name is going on in here!?" Mrs. Kavinsky asked as she barged into the bedroom trying to figure out what was going on. "FUCK YOU SOPHIA!! I LOVE HER!!" Peter yelled getting in Sophia's face until his mom pulled him away and she was able to separate them a good distance from one another. "PETER!! look at me son, calm down! why are the two of you arguing like a pack of wild wolves! What is the matter!?" she asked giving the two of them a puzzling look. "Sophia? care to shed some light on this situation or are you just going to remain silent like your brother?" Mrs. Kavinsky said getting more and more furious until Sophia blurted out the problem.
"Camreigh. Mom its over Camreigh" she said making Peter shoot her a evil glare and his mother give them both a disapproving look. "You know I've had it up to just about here! with that girl, she has done nothing but cause friction in my home and I am tired of it! Now I don't know what the hell is going on but I am tired of the arguing! No girl especially Camreigh Brown is worth all of this mess! Now quite frankly Peter I can't tell you what to do. You are an adult now you can make you're own descions but I think you know where I stand on the subject now." She said with more intensity and aggression than either one of them had ever heard her speak in.
"Forget this, I'm going back to the dorms if neither one of you can support me and my relationship than I need to distant myself from the two of you!" Peter said as he brushed past his moms shoulder and headed back into his bedroom to start packing his things back into his duffle bag.
Peter's mother followed behind him putting on a show to make him feel bad as she pretended to cry. It didn't seem to work as Peter tried his best to ignore her until she got closer to him stopping him from packing for a moment. Peter rolled his eyes and let out an aggravated groan. He was so tired of Camreigh always being put on blast when his mother didn't even know the half of their problems. "Look mom I love you and I love Sophia shes my sister but I refuse to let someone I love keep being talked about like she is nobody! Sophia started this with her abortion secret! Camreigh didn't ask to be apart of it! And I know that now! But there is other reasons why I need distance, so please mom leave me alone and let me pack up my things. I'm going back to school if it hadn't been for Cam I'm not even sure I would have came back" Peter said making his mom go silent. I don't know if she had ever seen him stand up for himself or someone else as bravely as he had and in a strange way she was proud but she left him alone just as he wished to be.
After Peter had finished packing he glanced over at his computer and got an idea. "Facebook! That's it! I'll send Camreigh a message on Facebook!" He said hoping this was his chance to get her to talk to him. Peter felt terrible about the way his and Camreigh's anticipated weekend had turned out. After all of the plans and all of the days they missed being apart niether one of them had wished for it to turn out this way... Peter still had faith that he and Cam would be able to work it out. So he took a seat in front of his laptop and started typing her a message hoping he could fix what had happened.
I said my goodbyes and got into my car and drove off, I don't know if I had ever felt such a pain as I was feeling at that moment, not knowing If Camreigh and I were going to get past such a terrible mistake.....
