NOTICE ME : A Peter Kavinsky Story

With only a week left til Peter went off for college, I had been putting off my drivers test as long as I could.

But today was the day, the day I would have to finally get brave enough to pass it if I was ever going to be able to visit Peter on my own.

"You ready to go babe?" Peter said as he wrapped his arms from behind me and kissed my cheek.

I smiled, I was nervous no doubt but I was ready. "Yeah, just let me grab my purse real quick" I said rushing into my room to check my makeup one last time and to grab my purse, just in case I did pass I needed to look good.

"Okay, im ready" I said as I gave my dad a hug and left behind Peter.

Things between Peter and I, seemed to be normal as one could expect for a couple about to be seperated from one another... the Lara Jean drama still weighed heavy on me at times, but she still remained silent and distant from Peter so that at least put my mind at ease for now.

"How are you feeling? Do think your gonna pass Cam?" Peter said grabbing my hand when he saw me fidgeting in the passenger seat.

I gave him a nervous smile, "I'm nervous babe!" I confessed as I started to bite my nail a little bit.

Peter couldn't help but laugh softly at me, "Babe your gonna do great. Your a really good driver. Dont sweat it" he said kissing the hand he was holding.

Knowing he had faith in me definitely helped boost my confidence before hand.

I waited in the lobby until it was my turn. I passed my written test with flying colors, it was just getting behind the wheel with the pressure of a cop sitting next to me I had to worry about.

"Your gonna do great babe" Peter said as I got up to walk over to the Drivers Aid.

"Okay i need you make a U-turn, and parallel park" the officer said as I felt a huge lump In my throat rise.

Holy crap, I said to myself I had barely done ethier this would inevitably be my reason for failure.

"Miss?" The officer said snapping me back into reality. "I'm sorry....I-I just..." I said as he smiled a tiny bit.

"Your fine, just relax and remember what you've learned we're coming up on the U-turn now" he said as I took a deep breath and tried to remember what Peter taught me.

Okay Camreigh you got this, focus You are smart you can do this just calm down and focus! I said to myself as I made my U-turn gently with the right amount of speed and time.

"Great Job kid" the officer praised me, "now the dreaded Parallel parking and you will be an official liscened driver" the officer said making me remember the boost of confidence Peter had given me ever since I had started trying to push myself to get my liscene, he was so supportive and cute... dang it Camreigh focus!

I said to myself as I waited for the right time and found the right way to pull in between the two vehicles in front of me, to park in the middle of.

"Okay, I'm going to check my mirrors and check for oncoming traffic before I pull into the lane" I said smiling with confidence.

"Good, very good now when you feel comfortable pull in between and park" he said as I took a deep breath and pulled out enough to ease my way in between the two vehicles.

"Oh my God, oh my god!" I kept whispering under my breath and I could see the police officer smile at me. I guess he could see my tiny panic attack.

"Great job, I think you passed Miss Brown" he said and I got so excited I hugged his neck he just kept laughing at me.

"Thank you!! Thank you!!" I kept repeating over and over until it was time to head back I was so excited to tell Peter.

As soon as I saw Peter sitting outside of the DMV waiting for me, I jumped out of the parked car and ran towards him with my accomplishment in hand.

"Peter!!! I passed! I passed!" I gasped as I leaped into his arms and hugged him tighter than probably ever before.

He scrunched his cute nose and gave me a big smile in return, as I kissed him all over his face. Peter let out a cute laugh, as he watched my excitement get the best of me.

"I knew you could do it babe!" He said kissing me back when the officer walked up and interrupted our cute little romance session.

"miss" he said tapping me on the shoulder gently.

Peter put me down real fast as I twirled around to face the officer still smiling.

"You did a great job, just work on your speed it's okay to get a little faster" he chuckled as he handed me the signed document that I needed to go get my drivers license made.

"Thank you so much" I gasped looking at the paper.

"Let's go get your ID made babe, and go celebrate" Peter said kissing me on the top of my head as he pulled me closer.

"Okay!!!!" I squealed this was a huge weight that was lifted off of me knowing even though Peter was miles away I could go visit him whenever I wanted.
