Friday had finally came after a long first week of school.
Sophia had kindly gotten used to the ride to school with Peter, it was the weird flirting the two of us would do unentinuonally that made her sick to her stomach.
It was wierd I'll admit to all of a sudden be apart of Peter's world even if it was just in brief moments but it was nice none the less.
People at school I had never spoken to would approach me or compliment me and I felt like a completely different person being noticed was something I could get used to and the fact it made Destiny Darling's skin crawl made it all the more better.
She would still give me dirty looks but would never speak to me directly which I was thrilled about because I felt like because of Peter I finally had a voice and I wasn't just some geek that moped around his house secretly fantasizing about.
I could tell it was starting to worry Sophia because the more people started to notice me the less she was involved in my every thought or descion. That wasn't my intention at all, I thought we both wanted a change and to make the best out of our school year but I was apparently wrong.
Sophia acted like she was okay with being a nobody and I could tell the two of us were gonna butt heads especially the more Peter would talk about me around his parents and her and she just couldn't deny the inevitable that maybe he was starting to see me as more than just a friend.
I kept trying to reassure her that we would always be bestfriends and nobody not even her brother if in fact we did date but I still didn't see it happening. Did get serious she would still be my number one and I wouldn't change without her but the more people started to devour my name and the things Peter would tell them the more I felt her slowly push away from me.
It was only the first week of school and I still needed her to be there for me but it was like she was angry at me but wouldnt say just because she never thought in a million years that Peter would even speak to me much less like me.

Peter got checked out today but I took extra notes so he would have them for Monday. He had to have his physical for athletics so he had to get that taken care of while the doctor could see him.
I will admit class was boring without having someone to goof off with but it was kinda nice to remember how much I loved school when Peter wasnt being my distraction and I could really hear what the teacher was saying and take it all in.
The last fifteen minutes of class Mr. Harris let us read to ourselves because he had to prep for a meeting after school it was cool since he never let us do that, but just as I started reading my novel for English Lit, my phone vibrated in my pocket.

He said sending me a ridiculous selfie of him stuffing his face full of food.
From what I had heard from August there was no practice today so he must have gotten finished with his Physcial and stopped by to get something to eat.
He was such a dweeb sometimes but I was still so indescribably in love with him and he didn't even know it.
I texted him back really quick with a minute left until the bell rang.

I met Sophia by the bus so we could head home. We were both excited to finally be starting our weekend all we could do was good off the entire ride home. I was spending the night with Sophia tonight and we were gonna do our usual movie marathons but I wasn't going to lie I was more excited about seeing Peter now than before.
