PETER POV:

Coach really worked us hard today, but unfortunately as tired as I was my day still wasn't over. I was grounded still and had to do chores around the house and then spend the rest of the afternoon working on a stupid homework assignment with my little sisters friend Camreigh.

I guess maybe it wouldn't be too bad, she was after all starting to grow on me. Her attempts to be popular this year were for the lack of words cute, but I was starting to see her as more of an individual an not just one my crazy little sisters annoying friends.

I changed out of my lacrosse gear and grabbed my gym bag out of my athletic locker and headed towards my car. When I pulled out my phone it was blowing up with notifications and texts all from Destiny, which I really didn't even feel like messing with right now and one reply back from Camreigh.

I clicked on her name and an unexpected smile creeped over my face when I saw the picture she sent me. It made me laugh a little, when I saw that she called me "Kavinsky" instead of Peter.

She sent me a picture back surprisingly to set as my contact photo for her, and I was caught off guard by her natural beauty that I guess I had never took the time to notice before. She had these freckles that went across her nose and on the sides of her cheek, that just got me in a whirlwind of emotions I guess I hadn't ever felt towards her before. Was little Camreigh Brown secretly Hot? I thought to myself trying to bring myself back to reality.

Though I would never directly tell her that to her face because then it might spark up something that didn't get returned and I would hate for her to be embarrassed by unmutual feelings.

I guess I was secretly gushing over some freckles.

When I got home my mom was waiting for me with a rake and a trash bag so I could start my chores. It was hot, and the yard looked a mess. It was nearly eight o'clock when I got it finished and I pulled out my phone to text Camreigh to come over.. this would be interesting to explain to my parents that she was coming over for me and not Sophia.
When I noticed she had already messaged me first grilling me about homework.... what a nerd, i thought to myself.

CAMREIGH:
hey did you forget that we have homework???

ME:
no! Lol I had chores remember I'm grounded 🙄

CAMREIGH:
lol that's right is it safe to come over now or....

ME:
Yeah, I'm just gonna go talk to the rents first after all this is homework not "fun" lol I'm grounded from fun!

CAMREIGH:
😂😂 k, I'll get my stuff ready and head over.

When I walked into the living room my dad was reading the sports articles in the paper and my mom was watching some horrendous romance movie that made me want to hurl at just how badly it was.

"You get the yard raked son?" My dad asked peeking his head above the paper.

I rolled my eyes out of frustration, "yesssss" I said drawing out my answer when my mom stepped into the conversation.

"You got homework?" She asked taking her attention off of her movie, I made a nervous smile and replied.

"Funny you should mention homework!" I said when my mom butted in again. "You have to do it, you can't just skip it because of your chores" I scoffed "no actually I have a assignment due tomorrow for Biology"

I said when my dad brought up the fact I was repeating it a second time. "Yes dad I'm aware, if you two would let me talk! Can Camreigh come over?" I asked as they both blankly stared at me.

"Sophia can't have company until Friday, why are you asking for her anyway?" My mom said confused.

"No actually it's for me..... I got stuck with her as Biology partners... ALL YEAR...." I said emphasizing on the part where I would have to work with her ALL YEAR.

"Really?..... um okay..." my mom said puzzled.

"Maybe you will Pass this time!" My dad added as I shook my head and rolled my eyes and went upstairs to get my books.

When Sophia stopped me, "hey you better be nice to my friend or I will hurt your face!" She spat all I could do was laugh. She was like 5"4 but was spunky as hell, and maybe she got that part from me.

I just nodded and rubbed her hair aggressively to aggravate her. "It's been noted" I said writing it down in my palm with my pretend pen as she darted her eyes and went to her bedroom and slammed the door.

I just shook my head "Sisters are so weird!" I said to myself in a low tone of voice when I heard her say "I heard that" behind her close door. I just laughed and headed back down to the kitchen where we could work on this assignment on our big Island in the middle of the kitchen because there was more room.

When I heard the door bell ring, i guess mom and dad had already headed off to bed so it was just the two of us.
