CAMREIGH POV:
After two months of not having a best friend to lean on when I needed one, it was finally starting to get a little easier to let go....
Even though Sophia and I had been friends for so long it still hurt, even if I was mad at her I was still happy she was happy.
We had a little over a month left until school ended for the summer, which was crazy considering it didn't feel like a whole year of tenth grade had even went by yet.
Even though this year has been difficult I was still happy having someone like Peter in my life... even though I felt distance the closer school got out.
I think maybe it was because the subject we had been trying to avoid needed to be brought up again and a final decision needed to be made or he would lose his shot at college all together.
"Hey Soph!" I heard August Jones say as he smacked her on the butt.... Ew.... I thought to myself as I watched him do it to Destiny and his new girlfriend Grace.
Had she really lost all self respect for herself, as far as I knew her and Trent were still together, though her parents almost never invited him over they couldn't stand him. Plus from what Mrs. Kavinsky told me she might even have to resort to putting Sophia in summer school just to pass the rest of the year.
I would catch her glance at me every now and then as Peter and I kissed and held hands in the halls but she still never spoke to me.
Until tonight.
"Babe? You want some ice cream?" Peter asked me from the couch in the living room, where I was watching Mean Girls laughing. "Yes please!" I said laughing at my movie "extra whip cream" he said before I could even get it out.
It was only four on a Saturday and Peter and I were suppose to be studying for our Biology exam for Monday, but we were home alone.
In between the makeout sessions and the frisky four play we studied a couple of words. I couldn't help that my boyfriend had become a distraction at times, I wasn't complaining either.
In the midst of us eating our ice cream Sophia came in the house in tears and looked at both of us and ran up stairs.
Her makeup was dark as she had started wearing it here lately. And her hair had black streaks in it.
"Should I go check on her?" Peter asked when I shook my head until we started hearing glass being shattered and it made us both run upstairs.
"Sophia what the hell?" Peter asked when he saw all her pictures broken off the wall and her dresser mirror shattered and she was still crying.
"Get out!! Both of you!!" She yelled, "you go ahead... I want to try to talk to her...." I said when he shook his head and got out before Sophia yelled again.

"Camreigh! I said get out!" She yelled but I stood there not moving as she came towards me and tried to push me.
"Sophia! I'm not going anywhere!!!" I said when she stopped and looked at me and all of a sudden broke down and gave me a hug.
It startled me at first because Sophia had changed into this completely different person, but she clinged onto me like things between us never changed.
I didn't say anything at first I just let her cry until she opened up to me on her own, it didn't take her long though.
"Camreigh..... Destiny stole Trent from me..." she said pulling away from me wiping her nose on her shirt and then underneath her eyes.
I didn't know what to say, I felt bad for her and I was just happy she was confiding in me again.
"Sophia, I'm so sorry... that's awful!" I gasped when she giggled a little..
"I knew there was a reason we hated her!" She laughed which made me laugh too...
When I heard my phone go off, Sophia looked at me then smiled. "Go ahead and answer him" she said rolling her eyes she already knew who it was.
Sophia took a seat next to me and waited for me to put my phone away before she spoke to me.
"I'm sorry Camreigh..... that I let a stupid boy ruin our friendship.... and that I actually thought Destiny and her stupid group of snobs were being nice to me because they liked me... I'm so stupid!!!!" She said getting upset again
"Soph, your not stupid he is! And it's not your fault your an awesome person that Destiny and them will never have in their lives when they need you!!!!" I said patting her on the back.
"I missed my bestfriend!" She said and it was the best thing I could have heard.
Just like that I had my bestfriend back, and I couldnt have been happier.
After hours of talking to Sophia, and working things out it was almost midnight when I snuck into Peter's room.
He looked like he had fallen asleep waiting on me, because he had his phone in his hand.
I crawled into bed behind him when he woke up enough to swoop me into his arms and cuddle me. "Did you two work things out?" He asked me in a sleepy whispery voice, "yeah... I think we did" I said with a smile when kissed the back of my neck and went back to sleep.
