"How is that school starts in two days" Sophia said as i hung my head, fidgeting with my fingers on the bed.
"I-uh don't know" I replied trying not to think about it, because if I did then I would have to think about what it was going to be like without Peter here.
"So I have something to tell you" Sophia said looking at me with a wierd facial expression.
"Kyle and I broke up" I went to say something but she jumped in.
"No, its totally fine it was mutual. You know he's going to college, well he's already left... but it's fine. I'm fine" she kept repeating over and over but I knew better.
"Are you sur-" I started to say when she cut me off again "no, I'm fine I promise" which I knew was a lie.
"Knock, knock" Peter said with his head sticking into Sophia's room.
It brought a smile to my face because I felt like I hadn't seen him all day, and the time we had was dwindling down to almost nothing.
"Hey gorgeous, can I steal you away from my sister for a moment?" He asked as I looked over at Sophia with a pouty face.
"Go ahead I can finish this, go spend time with you boyfriend" she said rolling her eyes and smiling when I hugged her neck.
"Thank you, I'll call you later" I added before leaving room with Peter.
He was all smiles when I shut the door behind me as he drew me closer to his chest.
"What's gotten into you?" I gasped with a smile on my face.
"Nothing, I just want to spend time with you" he said running his hands up and down my backside.
I let out a relived sigh and smiled back at him. "Yeah-me too, considering...." I went to say the inevitable but he stopped me before I could.
"Let's not tal-k about it.. okay? Let's just be in the moment" he said which I guess I couldn't disagree with, if it were possible to ignore the situation all together than I would've done it a long time ago...
"That sounds Perfect" I replied as my lips touched his.
As his fingers stayed intertwine with mine he led me into his room.
The walls were bare, there were boxes piled on top of his desk and floor all labeled. His room was starting to look unrecognizable, so much for living in the moment.
It's kind of hard to do that when the hard truth is staring back at you.
I knew this was going to be hard but seeing all of Peter's belongings packed into cardboard boxes, and the room looking as empty as it did made this whole situation even more harder to swallow.
I felt my smile fade as the reality set In I needed to fake it for just a little bit longer because if I let myself break down now, Peter would be even more reluctant to stay behind for me. When he knows I don't want that for him, especially when hes earned it.
"Uh-Did you have fun with August?" I asked abruptly trying to get my mind off of the emptiness I was feeling being in his room as the tons of memories and the upcoming events were clouding my mind.
He smiled and sat next tome on the bed, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Yeah, it was fun. Ya know spending some time together before.. ya know" he smirked.
"Yeah" I replied as he looked at me.
"Oh i have something for you" he said out of the blue as he got into his closet and pulled out a gift bag.
"You didn't have to do that" I said leaning into kiss him as he took a seat next to me.
"No, I wanted to.. " he replied forcing a half smile as he touched my cheek softly.
"Go ahead. Open it" he said moving the bag closer in front of me.
"Okay" I said smiling it was always fun to open presents. Especially spontaneous ones.
On top there was a card and it had pink and white glitter on it with a heart saying "I love you More".
But it didn't compare to the sweet message he wrote inside.
Camreigh,
I was going to wait to give this to you on the day I left, but I figured you might need something to cheer you up now.
Its not much, but I wanted you to still feel like you are just as involved with me at Stanford as you were at Adler High.
Enclosed is a Jersey with my number for you to cheer me on, a Stanford blanket to keep you warm when I'm not there to hold you, and my high school letterman jacket. So not matter how far I am from you, you can still feel my arms around you and know how much I'm missing you and wishing I was with you.
I love you Camreigh Brown thank you for being there whenever I needed you. I know I will carry you no matter how far I go.
Xoxo P.
It was undoubtedly the sweetest thing and what made it even more special it was unexpected. It was just what I needed, in the midst of this empty room swarming me with tons of emotions.
I felt a lump in my throat making me want to cry, but I knew if I did it would only make us both cry.
I let one single tear roll down my cheeks as I leaned in and kissed Peter passionately.
"I love you Kavinsky" I said pulling away just to have him pull me in again for another kiss.
"I love you more" he replied.
"Now go try on my jersey, I want to see what it looks like on you" he said biting his lip and giving me that devious smile trying to lighten the mood.
"Fine" I said rolling my eyes and going into the bathroom, thank God his mom was gone for the whole day. Visiting there grandma or she might have caught us in an uncomfortable situation.
When I came back into Peter's room, i had my hair down out of my ponytail and the jersey he had given me, and nothing else but my panties underneath.
"Damn" he said making me blush as I leaned against the frame of his door.
He bit his lip again and rolled his tongue making a purring sound when he called me over there.
"Come here you sexy mmmm" he said being captivated by me he couldn't finish his sentence.
I cradled his lap with my legs around his waist as he sat on the bed.
It didn't take long for him to throw me on top of his pillow top mattress and take advantage of the situation.
All I can say is I'm sorry Sophia, you had to hear all of the unexpected sounds coming from me in Peter's room.
But it was a sweet moment that made me get lost in my love for Peter, yet again and we needed that.
Now more than ever.
Peter kissed me and laced his fingers with mine. He looked into my eyes before he snuggled up to my neck.
Playing with my hair we both let out a sigh, and a silent cry....
"48 hours" he said as I exhaled deeply and my breath became shakey.
"48 hours" I replied.
That was all we had left.
