Later that afternoon, after the Kavinsky's took us all out to dinner to celebrate. Peter finally took me home, we sat quietly in the car for a few minutes before he reached over the center console and kissed me intensely.
He licked his lips as he pulled away... "damn I'm gonna miss those" he said with a playful scoff, trying to be tough but I could tell he wasn't looking forward to a time when he would have to leave me.
I remained strong for the time being, because I had to. "Me too! But let's not think about then... let's think about now. Okay?" I said as he smiled a little bit and leaned over to kiss me again.
"Want me to walk you to your door?" He asked and I pressed my lips together giving him a weak smile.
"No, no it's okay babe... you go and celebrate this amazing accomplishment with your family... just call me later okay?" I asked as he nodded and reved up his engine before he left.
As he backed out of the driveway he stuck his head out of the side window.
"I love you Brown!" He yelled which made me smile.
"I love you too Kavinsky!" I yelled back as I went inside.

"There's my beautiful daughter! I was begining to wonder if you were just going to move in with the Kavinsky's" he said letting out a deep belly laugh.
I shook my head and gave him a quiet smile "what's wrong kid?" He asked as I tried to ignore the subject but he was smart enough to know something was wrong with me.
"Nothing really it's okay." I said but he wouldn't accept my answer.
"Camreigh" he said with his head leaned in giving me a serious look.
"It's Kavinsky isn't it?" He said guessing but he was correct.
"Yeah..." I said pulling a drink out of the fridge.
"Yeah, I heard he accepted that full ride to Stanford. Are you okay with that?" My dad asked I shrugged "I kind of have to be" I replied. My dad didn't say anything else, I guess he didn't want to push the subject.
"I'm gonna go upstairs and read..." I said when my father nodded and took his seat back in his chair and turned on the sports channel.

When I got to my room I scrolled through my Facebook, Peter had announced it public now.... and the reality was setting in fiercely as I thought about my boyfriend not being around my final years of high school.
That's when I saw the comment from Lara Jean Covey, I didn't know she went to school at Stanford..... though I knew I didn't have anything to worry about, it still made me jealous she would be near him and I wouldn't. Why did I have to be two years behind..... I thought to myself, as I left a supportive comment on his status.
