"What about this one?" Camreigh said trying on her pink skinny Jean's and a white sequined top.
"I don't know does it matter it's just a stupid party" I said sarcastically.
"Uh yes it does matter! Everyone who's anyone is going to be at your house tonight! I want to dress accordingly!" Camreigh beamed of impatience and nervousness.
"Fine, the pink skirt and the flowered jacket" I said becoming aggravated at her relentless way of trying to doll herself up for someone who probably wouldn't even notice she was there.
"What's with the tude?" I asked Sophia who was sitting in her bay window sulking.
"Nothing, I just.... don't really care about being popular" she said hanging her head.
I looked at her with confusion and took a seat next to her. "Niether do I, but it would be nice to be noticed once in awhile." I stressed to her.
"Aren't you tired of sitting back while your brother has the ultimate school experience? When is it going to be your turn?" I said as her big brown eyes shined back at me. Her and Peter had the same eyes.
"I know your right but I just don't think we should dumb ourselves down to get someone to pay attention to us!" She said barking back at me.
"Look, you know Peter is a player and he obviously still see's the two of us as children so maybe we should just go back to your house and save ourselves the embarrassment?"
Really Sophia? I knew I had sometimes annoyed her with my constant drooling and or talking about her brother Peter but was the rudeness really necessary?
"Sophia, look it's fine if you don't want to go just say... but I still want to. Who knows when we'll get another chance like this!" I gasped trying to convince her.
"Fine, go have a blast getting wasted and drooling over my brother who news flash doesn't like you!" Sophia said rudely as she plopped down on her bed with her arms crossed.
I didn't understand why she was acting this way when we had both wanted to be adventurous and be more outgoing. Especially me considering I barely existed, compared to Sophia who everyone at least knew as Peter's younger sister.
"Look I don't know why your getting so upset at me. I'm only human and for once I would like to be spontaneous and maybe even I don't know EXIST! Don't you know how badly it sucks to be invisible? You of all people should know how that feels why are you giving me a hard time about it?" I demanded.
"I just don't want you getting caught up in this make believe world and forget me" she said softly with a sadness to her voice.
"There is no way that is happening your my bestfriend and its just one party Sophia!" I said making her feel better enough to smile.
"Okay... just promise me if you end up having a terrible time, you'll come back we can make fun of the drunk people and watch another Jonny Depp movie?" She pleaded
"Of course!" I said as we both laughed.
