Christmas had finally arrived and the morning with my family had been great. I could really feel the closeness all of us had gotten towards eachother this year and I really had Cam to thank for that.
Before me and my parents didn't get along very well, and Sophia and I couldn't stand one another but if Camreigh has taught me anything it was that they are the people you should cherish more than anyone..... because you don't know when you will loose them.
I know tomorrow was a bad day for Camreigh it being the anniversary of her mothers death and all.... but I hoped maybe this year she could enjoy the holiday with me and not let it bring her down so badly.
"Thanks mom" I said opening a new Lacrosse hoodie with my name on the back of it she had ordered from the school.
Before dinner that afternoon I was too excited to wait any longer so Camreigh and I decided to meet to exchange gifts at the skating rink in town.
"Merry Christmas beautiful!" I said when she came out of her house and I met her by the door holding up a little bit of mistletoe.
She giggled at me "your such a dork! Merry Christmas Peter!" She said locking her lips with mine.
It was cold, way to cold to be outside today but I wanted to give her, her gift alone so we could enjoy it together.
We took a seat on the bench by the big Christmas tree in town. "Here you open yours first!" She said placing the big red and green cubed box on my lap with a big glittery red and silver bow on top of it.
"Are you sure?" I asked as she rushed me to open it because she was excited.
"Yes open it!" She said rubbing her arms from how cold it was.
When I opened the box I saw one of the most intriguing watches I had ever seen. It was silver and gold and it had a black middle and it was a very eye catching gift.
"This is awesome! I love it thanks babe!" I said when I leaned over to give her a kiss to say thank you.
"You really like it?" She asked as I nodded my head and smiled. "Yes I do thank you babe!" I replied. "Flip it over! I had it engraved!" She said with joy,
When I turned it over it had the words
"Peter & Camreigh" engraved on it.Aww, I thought to myself it was inevitably the cutest thing ever. "Thank you I love it babe!" I said to her hooking it on to my wrist.
"Here open mine!" I said shoving it on to the top of her lap. It was pretty obvious it was a piece of jewelry by the size of the box but I could tell she was super excited.
When I pulled back the little pink box that Peter had given me with the small pink bow on top of it. I saw the prettiest heart shaped ring connected to an infinity symbol with white and pink diamonds in the center.
"Peter Kavinsky!!" I gasped looking at how cute and beautiful it was. He just smiled really big letting out a cute squealing sound. "Put it on!" He said taking the box from me. "Peter this is beautiful but you didn't have to get me this!" I said as he shook his head. "And why not! That way no other boys will steal you from me!" He said with a cheesy grin and laugh. I in no way thought Peter would give me a promise ring but I was beyond thrilled at it, so much I was at a lost for words.
"Do you like it?" Peter asked moving closer to me putting his hand on mine. "Its perfect!" I said as I rubbed my nose against his, like an eskimo.
After we spent the morning together exchanging gifts and what not. He dropped me off back at home so I could enjoy my little dinner with my dad before I came over later.
"I love you, I'll see you later" Peter gushed as he put the car in reverse and drove off. I had finally realized how serious the two of had gotten and how much feelings we had between the two of us and maybe it was okay if I let myself get caught up in our feelings to go as far as being with him in a physical way.

Dinner had started and Camreigh was still at her house eating with her dad. Dinner seemed to be going well until my mother brought up the obvious.
"So have you shared the good news with Camreigh?" My mother asked referring to my stupid college acceptance letter.
I rolled my eyes at her and stuffed my face with turkey and mashed potatoes. "Peter? Your mother asked you a question!" My father demanded as he lowered his voice to a serious tone.
"No! I haven't so if it's okay with ya'll I'd like to keep it that way until I choose to do so!" I yelled back at them both as my mother put her fork down and looked at me with disappointment. "Peter, all we did was ask a question there's no need for the attitude" she said having a point.
"I'm just not ready to tell her yet!" I spat back because now I honestly didn't even want to go to college. "You have to tell her sometime or I will!" Sophia said chiming in. "You stay out of it! I may not even go to college! I can wait!" I said getting an even bigger attitude.
When I turned around and saw Camreigh standing at the door.
She clearly was upset as her eyes swelled up with tears. "Fuck!" I said slamming my silverware down on the table and running after her, after she had slammed the door and went outside.
"Well there goes our nice Christmas dinner" our mother said being unapologetic and hateful as she grabbed Peter's plate from the table and threw it in the kitchen sink.

"Camreigh! Will you please stop! Camreigh please just stop!" I yelled until I got to her and grabbed her arm to point her towards me.
She had tears running down her face and her makeup was smeared. You could see where she had been wiping her eyes on the sleeve of her sweater.
"Camreigh.... I can explain!" I said trying to get her to look at me.
"Hey. Whoa-whoa,Whoa" I said getting her eyes to focus on me as I grabbed her by her cheeks.
"Baby! I'm sorry you had to hear it that way!" I said pleading to her but she was too upset to console.
"Where you even going to tell me Peter!!!" She shouted at me with anger as the tears kept falling.
I inevitably felt like a complete asshole as she looked up at me with one of the saddest looks I had ever seen on her face.
It honestly made me want to cry to but I pulled myself together and put on a good act. Tightening my mouth in a cringe to stop myself.
"Yes Camreigh!!! I just didn't know how to tell you babe!" I said as she shook her head vigorously with her sweater sleeve covering her mouth.
"When did you find out?!" She mumbled under her breath amongst her crying.
I let out a sigh as I tried to pull her close to me and we walked to the back yard.
"I literally found out the night of August's party" I said trying to console Camreigh but she was slowly pushing me away.
"Camreigh please just listen I may not even go! I applied before I even thought about you! I didn't even think I would get in!" I said as she stood up and began to step away from me.
"I-I... can't talk to you right now.... I need to calm down. I-I'm to upset" she said muttering the words.
"At least let me give you a ride home babe?" I asked standing up when she stopped me.
"No.. I can walk.. I'll talk to you later" she said as she turned away from me and started to speed off on foot.
"Camreigh!!" I yelled but she was already out of sight.
