Waking up the next morning, I turned toward the bedside clock.

"10:30 AM, ugh," I said throwing my hand over my face before freaking out "Shit! I have to meet that lady," in a panic I called her

"Hello" she answered

"Hey, I called you yesterday about wanting that house you had. What time do you want me to come over?" I asked her

"Oh, I don't care what time you come over. You are coming over today, right?" She asked

"Yes ma'am, I am" I answered

"Great I have nothing planned today so anytime you can come over will be nice," she said

"Ok thank you very much ma'am" hanging up I lay back onto the bed "Phew that's good news" I said looking up at the ceiling "Hm well I wonder what I can do since she said it didn't matter what time I came over" wondering I decided to look up what to do around here."What's this city even called?" I asked pulling the ticket out "Bibai" I said looking at it. Soon I started looking into what is in this city. It was a small city but seemed better than back there. At 5:50 PM I decided to head over to the lady's place

"Have a lovely night" the desk clerk said I waved at her while walking out and toward the direction where the lady's house was. A few minutes later I had arrived at her door and knocked on it

"Hello," an old lady maybe mid-80s answered the door

"Um hi I'm the person who was asking about that house, I'm Railey," I said holding out my hand

"Oh nice to meet you, please come in," she said opening the door more

"Do you mind if I leave my bags out here?" I asked

"Sure I don't mind," she said I smiled and walked inside the house. I walked into a living room with chairs and a couch surrounding a  fireplace. To the right of the living room through a doorway was the kitchen

"Please sit," she gestured to the chairs

"Thanks," I said sitting down while she sat across from me

"So why do you want to move into that house?" She asked

"Um well, I just got here and was just quickly looking for a place to stay. I'll be getting a job soon if I can find one" I told her she nodded.

"So you just moved here?" She asked I nodded just then a young dark brown dog stood next to the old lady and barked at me "Coco shush" the lady hushed the dog I smiled and laughed

"It's ok, come here" I said before holding my hand out to the dog. He sniffed my palm then my forearm before licking my hand and coming up to me with his tongue hanging out. I scratched his head and smiled at him "Who's a good dog" I said to him while petting on him I glanced at the lady who looked to be thinking.

"He's not this friendly with strangers," she said

"Well I'm really good with all sorts of animals if only I could keep them," I said still rubbing Coco's head she gave a  hm as she continued to think

"How old are you?" She asked

"16" I answered

"Let me ask you something, why are you here? Like really here" she asked me I sighed

"The truth, I ran away from home. My parents are really strict and won't let me do anything. I know it sounds childish. My dad wants me to be his successor in the business but I've already told him I don't want to" I explained feeling embarrassed how childish it sounded

"Tell you what, I'll let you stay here with me  for free if you agree to help me and to take care of Coco" she offered

"Are you serious? That would be great and I'm going to enroll in a school soon just so I don't get behind"

"I'll be your guardian so you can get in," she said

"Thank you so much," I said getting up and hugging her. She hugged me back "I'll go get my stuff from outside," I said

"The room you'll be staying in is down that hallway to the right. There is a room that is empty" she said pointing down the hallway after I grabbed my stuff. Nodding I headed down the hall when I found the room I set my stuff down.

"So do you have anything I can do?" I asked walking into the kitchen

"Um take Coco out and while you're out, I need these things for tonight's dinner," she said handing me a leash, list, and money.

"Yes ma'am," putting the leash on Coco I took the money and headed out.
