When we got home grandmas was there "Hey how was your appointment?" I asked her
"Eh it was like the others" she responded
"Why did you have an appointment for?" I asked her she didn't respond back and just sighed "what's wrong?" I asked
"I have heart problems. They started a few years back but now they have progressively gotten worse. The doctors say that at this rate it won't be long before I'm gone" I banged the table
"No, you can't go. Isn't there anything to do to help you?" I asked
"Surgery but it's too much for me," she said
"Then I'll pay for it," I said
"No you can't you don't—"
"My parents are rich and before I ran away from them I took some of their money. They won't mind it or even notice its missing" I went up to her "I'll pay for your surgery to help you plus you've already done so much for me so far" I told her
"Thank you, Railey," she said
"No problem grandma," I said hugging her the next day we went in and paid for the surgery to be done
"Keep me up to date on how she is doing," I told the nurses
"We will don't worry she will be good as new when she comes out," the nurse said
"Don't worry about me, Railey. I'll be fine" she said
"That's what you said before almost falling down the ladder cleaning out the attic remember" I joked "you'll be alright, I'll see you soon," I said walking back home. When I got home Coco greeted me with lots of licks before looking around for grandma and whining "she'll be back very soon I promise" I told him going into the kitchen to make something to eat. That night I didn't go to sleep until midnight which wasn't good since I had my first day of school tomorrow.
When the alarm went off I jumped out of bed and rushed to get ready before sprinting out the door. I wanted to go by the hospital before school "I was just wondering if I could see Satomi she was in here yesterday for surgery" I told the lady at the desk
"Yes, she is in room 2104," she said
"Thank you," I said quickly rushing to the room "hello?" I said opening the door to see grandmas laying on a bed
"Railey what are you doing here? You should be at school" she said
"I came here to see you before I go. How are you feeling?" I asked
"Tired but I think I feel a little bit better," she said
"So the surgery worked?" I asked
"We'll see, now go or you'll be late for school," she said shooing me out
"Ok, I'll come to see you after school then," I said running out of the room and out the building toward the high school.
