The next morning when my alarm went off I looked at grandma's bed to see she was gone. Panicking I raced into the kitchen to see she was up fixing breakfast
"Jeez grandma you just had surgery you shouldn't be doing this stuff," I said walking over to her
"I'm fine, I'm not letting some surgery slow me down," she said sliding an egg onto a plate for me
"Just take it easy please I don't want you going back just to fix something you messed up," I said eating my egg before getting ready for school.
"Be safe while I'm at school grandma don't get hurt!" I yelled while closing the walking toward the school.
When I got to school I saw the group of girls from when I was walking Coco. Not wanting to say anything I walked inside the gate quickly
"Hey girl" one of them called out I stopped and turned around
"Um yeah," I said they all walked up to me
"You go here?" One of them asked I nodded shyly
"I um, just got, I mean went here yesterday," I said intimidated by them
"Ah, that's cool. Hey, do you want to hang with us at lunch today?" A girl (I think the leader) asked me
"Hey, Railey!" I heard someone say I looked around the girls to see Akari waving at me with Riko walking beside her
"Sorry," I said before walking over to them "Thanks guys," I said
"No prob, you need to stay away from them. They are trouble" Akari warned
"They are the meanest girls in school" Riko added I nodded understanding
"No wonder I felt so intimidated by their presence," I told them
"Let's head to class," Akari said slinging her arm around my shoulder. Smiling I walked with them today was different from yesterday I had home ec that was in a different room from yesterday. Apparently, Akari had the same thing too and we had PE together 'it helps that I have classes with her. I would be totally lost without her' I thought to myself while getting changed for PE.
During PE we had to run first and then we played a game of kickball 'god I hate sports' I thought as it was my turn to kick 'please be good' I thought as the ball was rolled and I went up kicking it. It flew high and far way out of the area almost hitting a boy that was on the other side playing soccer. All the girls cheered as they watched the ball go with me running the bases watching it too, it got me a home run "I did not think that would happen" I told Akari when I got back
"That was amazing Railey! You should totally try out for a sport" she said lightly punching my arm
"I couldn't that would take up too much time for me," I told her
"But you would be so good and Riko and I would go to your games just to cheer you on," she said I smiled
"Thank Akari but I'm good where I am now plus I just got here," I said after a couple more games of kickball we went and changed before heading to lunch.
"So how are you doing so far Railey? Heard you kicked a home run at Physical ed almost hitting a boy" Riko chuckled Akari slapped him "ouch what was that for?"
"She couldn't help it that the ball went so far" Akari defended me, "she would be great if she joined a team"
"I'll think about it ok anyway it just my second day and it's going good so far," I said
"Those girls haven't come back have they?" Riko asked I shook my head
"I haven't even seen them besides this morning," I told them
"Oh no," Akari said looking behind me Riko turned around then quickly turned back "don't turn around, their here," he said looking petrified I tensed up and avoid looking over there. We then heard footsteps coming this way "say no" Riko advised
"Railey come to sit with us," the leader's voice said
"Um I'm good right here thank you, tho," I said not looking at her
"Oh but I thought we were friends Railey" she pouted with her voice all sad 'when the hell are we friends psycho' I thought
"She said she already doesn't want to go with you so just leave her alone," Riko told them
"Excuse me," she said
"Riko don't," Akari said placing a hand on his shoulder
"Sorry, but can you just go away and leave us alone? Sorry" I told them squeezing my eyes closed wishing for her to go away. She huffed then stomped out of the classroom I let out a sigh "Thank god she's gone" I said laying my head down on the desk pushing my lunch away.
"Why the hell do they think they can just do whatever they want huh?" Riko said glaring at the doorway
"I don't know but I do know they are all bitches," Akari said putting her food down. Soon lunch was over and class started again.
