"Daddy! Parker cheated again!" Eden yelled walking into the kitchen.

"Did not!" Parker protested.

"You can't say that just because you lost darling." I laughed and she whined stomping her feet. "Hey, stop that." I warned.

"I'm hungry." Parker pouted.

"Well you're in luck, Em just finished making you guys chicken nuggets and smiley fries." I said and they both smiled and sat down.

Emily and Parker did end up coming over tonight to hang out and it's been going well. Eden and Parker were having fun playing while Emily and myself were having time to talk.

"Here you go." Emily said setting plates down in front of the two of them. "Sit on your butt Park."

"I want ketchup mumma." Parker whined.

"Okay, calm down, I'll get you some." She laughed and then grabbed some, squirting it onto his plate.

"Daddy I want some too!" Eden exclaimed, causing me to roll my eyes.

"You don't like ketchup Eden." I sighed. "No, I'm not getting you any." I told her. Eden hates ketchup, that hasn't changed since a few days ago when she asked for some, and still hated it.

"I want some." She groaned and started to pout and throw her head back.

"Eden, no." I told her and she crossed her arms.

"Daddy, yes." She pouted. "Please."

"Here." Emily said, squirting a tiny bit on her plate. "She'll be fine."

The night went on and Eden and Parker were playing another game- which Eden would definitely lose- and Emily and I were in the kitchen talking.

"So, I think you should tell me about yourself." I said to her and she nodded.

"What do you want to know?" She asked shrugging.

"Anything you want to tell me." I laughed. "Tell me about you and Parker."

"There's not much to say, I had him really young with a really shitty guy and I finally got away from that two years ago and now it's just us. Which is good. He's really shy and just nervous a lot because of his father so I've been having to take him to some counseling stuff." She sighed and I frowned. "He's my best friend though. Anyways, what's your story?"

"Well, I wasn't a good kid in high school. I partied a lot and that's really all there is to it. I was a mean kid, wasn't interested in school at all so when Eden was born I dropped out to take care of her and now she sees her mom every other weekend." I explained. "I've turned my entire life around for her."

"You seem to be doing a great job." She smiled at me and then checked her phone and sighed. "I've gotta get going, but I'll talk to you later, yeah?" She said walking into the living room and I followed her.

"Of course." I nodded.

"Come on Parker, we need to get home." She said taking his hand. "Bye Calum." She smiled before leaving.

I closed the door behind her and then sat next to Eden on the couch.

"Parker's nice daddy." She said climbing into my lap. "He played with my dolls."
