What were some of your goals for 2019??

"Daddy look! Emmy did my hair." Eden said spinning in a circle for me to see.

"Beautiful darling." I smiled. Her hair was only in two half ponytails, but she was excited and it was cute.

Her birthday party was today and Emily and I had spent the entire morning preparing for it. We cleaned the house, decorated, and got food ready. Now everyone was here besides Amber.

I decided to keep it small, so only a few people were invited. Which were only the boys, their girlfriends, and Amber. I didn't want to deal with those stuck up moms and my family didn't want to drive all the way here so I agreed to visit soon and let it go.

"Why don't you go play with Parker for a bit." I said, knowing she's five and isn't going to want to sit around a bunch of adults.

"But daddy I want to open presents." She whined, following me into the living room where everyone else was. "Please."

"We can't do anything until mommy shows up Eden and she's not here yet." I said. Amber was supposed to be here half an hour ago when everyone else got her. "Go play please." I told her and she nodded, walking off.

I walked over to the couch and sat down next to Emily.

"Have you tried calling her?" Emily asked, talking about amber and I nodded.

"She didn't answer." I groaned.

This was typical of Amber. She throws a fit about how she wants Eden to stay with her and then puts in zero effort to make it seem like she cares.

"Just start without her. She's not worth waiting for." Ashton shrugged. "It's about your daughter, not Amber. Plus we don't like her anyway."

"Look!" I heard Eden and Parker giggle as they walked into the living room with Duke. "Eden put a dress on him."

"Oh my god." Emily said covering her mouth as she chuckled. "I'm sure he hates that."

"Your kid is weird." Michael said shaking his head.

"That's not nice Mikey." Eden pouted climbing onto my lap. "When's mommy coming? I want to open presents."

"We're going to start without mommy." I sighed. "Go pick a present."

"Okay." She smiled climbing off of my lap. "Come help me Parker." She said and he smiled walking over to her.

"Can we call mommy? Why didn't she come?" Eden whined walking over to me. After her party ended she took a nap and now just got out of the bath.

"Yeah, here." I said dialing ambers number and then handing the phone to Eden.

"Hi mommy." She mumbled. "Where are you? You didn't come...okay...I love you too." She said before handing the phone to me. "She wants to talk to you." I sighed taking the phone while Eden sat and watched.

"Yes?" I snapped into the phone.

"I'm on my way now." She sighed. "I completely forgot, but I'm coming now to see her for a bit. I'm almost there. I forgot to tell you I was coming."

"There's really no point now but okay. See you soon." I sighed before hanging up.

"Is mommy coming? She said she was." Eden said and I nodded.

"Yes darling, she's coming soon." I said standing up. "Hey Em?" I called, walking into the bathroom where she was giving Parker a bath.

"What?" She asked turning around to face me.
