The rest of the week went by fairly quick and it was now Saturday. I kept Eden home from school so she could rest and feel better so that we could still go with Emily to her parents house today.

"Daddy I want to play." Eden whined trying to get away from me.

"I know darling but you had all morning to play. I need to get you ready for the day." I laughed picking out some clothes for her to wear. "You'll get to play later." I said getting her dressed into some knitted leggings and a long sleeve dress that Emily had picked out.

"But I want to now." She said crossing her arms as I started putting her hair into a ponytail.

"I know Eden, but we're leaving soon." I sighed. "Go brush your teeth." I said walking out of her bedroom.

"Are you ready Calum?" Emily yelled from the kitchen where I was walking to.

"In like five minutes, I promise." I said. No surprise we were running late, when are we not running late.

"I told you I wanted to leave by eleven." She whined and I chuckled.

"It's only a few minutes past, I'm sorry." I said kissing her cheek.

"Mumma I don't want to go." Parker said walking in.

"Why wouldn't you want to go? You love going over there for Christmas." She sighed looking down at him.

"Too many people." He frowned.

"I know Park, but it'll be fun, you'll have Eden to play with too." She said. "Speaking of, where is she? We need to go."

"Well, she was supposed to be brushing her teeth but I'll go check." I said and she nodded. "You guys can go wait in the car I'll be out in a minute."

"Okay, hurry please." She said before I walked down the hall into Eden's room where she was playing on the floor.

"Darling." I said standing in the doorway. "We need to go."

"I'm not going." She said crossing her arms. "I won't know anyone." She frowned.

That comment threw me off a bit because she's hardly ever shy about anything really.

"You'll know me, Emily, and Parker." I said picking her up. "I promise you'll be okay Eden, but we need to go." I said walking out of her room.

"I don't want to." She whined and tears started firming in her eyes. "Please daddy."

"We have to go Eden." I sighed.

"No." She whimpered. "Can I call mommy? I want to talk to mommy." She insisted.

I frowned, taking my phone out of my pocket and calling Amber then giving Eden my phone. "I'll be right back." I sighed walking outside. I knocked on the drivers side window getting Emily's attention.

"What Calum? I want to go." She said and I nodded.

"I know, I know. She's throwing a fit though and I know somethings wrong because she said she didn't want to go because she won't know anybody but she's not shy around anybody." I explained. "She freaked out and is now on the phone with Amber. So you two go, I'll be there shortly. I just want to talk to her and see what's going on."

"Okay." She sighed. "Please come though."

"I'm going to." I said giving her a quick kiss. "Go, have fun."
