Calum

"Okay this is going to suck." Emily said as we walked through the mall. It's the weekend before they both start kindergarten and we decided to take Parker shopping alone while Eden was with Amber. "Are you ready Parker?" She asked as Parker clinger onto her.

"I don't want to mumma." He mumbled. Parker has still been kind of mood and cautious around me, but he has been getting better about it. "I don't need clothes. I have clothes."

"Just one outfit Parker." She sighed. "Are you getting something for Eden?" She asked turning to me.

"Amber said I couldn't get school clothes because I won't pick out nice things for Eden." I told her. Emily was entering her second trimester, so she was starting to show a little bit more and it was adorable.

"Can we shop for baby girl, mumma?" Parker asked her smiling.

"Yes, after we get you something." She laughed as we started looking through some clothes. "So we're definitely getting these." She said grabbing some khaki shorts for him.

"I like that shirt." Parker mumbled, pointing at a little button up that had dinosaurs on it. I nodded, grabbing it for him.

"Here Park." I said handing it to him. He looked at me and smiled before grabbing it.

"Thank you." He mumbled. "Mumma I like this one." He said showing it to her.

"Are you sure bud?" She asked and he nodded eagerly.

"Yes mumma, I want this one." He said and she nodded, grabbing it from him.

"Alright, let's go find you a backpack." She said walking over to where all the bags were. "Do you see anything?"

"I want that one." He said pointing to a backpack that was outer space themed with stars and planets. "Please mumma?"

"Are you sure?" She sighed and he nodded.

"Yes." He whined as he repeated himself. "I really want that one."

"Okay, okay. No need to whine about it." She said grabbing it for him. "Hold it."

"Thank you." He grinned holding onto the bag. "I love you mumma."

"I love you too." Emily giggled as we made our way to the baby section. "This stuff is so cute, I just want her to be here." She groaned looking through the baby clothes.

"Me too, but she'll be here soon enough." I said giving her a quick kiss.

We browsed through a lot of baby girl clothes, a lot of furniture, and a lot of different baby accessories to look into.

"What do you think of this?" Emily asked holding up a board with flowers on it since we had moved into the room decorations. "We could get letters and out her name on it."

"Yeah, that's cute." I said pulling my phone out of my pocket since it started ringing. "Hello?" I answered.

"Daddy! Come get me." Eden whined into the phone, she was definitely crying.

"What's wrong darling? You're supposed to come home tomorrow." I sighed, walking away from Emily and Parker for a second.

"Please." She cried and I frowned.

"Where's mommy? Let me talk to her." I said and she didn't respond, instead Amber did.

"She's begging Calum." Amber sighed. "I don't know what her problem is right now, but she's been rotten this whole weekend. Can you please come get her?" She snapped and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, tell her I'll be there in a bit." I said. "But also, maybe don't forget that you also have a daughter to take care of. I know you just had a baby, but she just wants your attention." I said before hanging up.

"What's that about?" Emily asked taking Parker's hand as we walked towards the checkout.

"We've gotta go pick Eden up." I said. "She wants to come home and Amber basically said she didn't want to deal with it." I sighed as Emily paid for the stuff she just bought.

"I don't want to go back." Eden grumbled as we walked back to the car. "The baby is annoying and doesn't shut up and mommy just yells at me." She huffed as she got buckled in.

"Hey, you need to be nice." I warned and she groaned.

"No." She mumbled, wiping her face. "Mommy's mean. Can we go home now?"

"Yes, we're going home now." I said, pulling out of Amber's driveway.

"Hey Parker? Why don't you show Eden what we got her today, yeah?" Emily said turning around to face the two.

"Okay mumma." He smiled, pulling her new backpack out of the shopping bag and handing it to Eden. "I got the one with mermaids on it because I know they're your favorite." He grinned.

"Thank you." I heard her mumbled. "I love it."

Once we were home we all got inside and while Emily and Parker started putting stuff away I brought Eden into her room to talk.

"No." She whined, trying to get out of my arms.

"We're talking." I said closing her door and then sitting her down on her bed. "What's up with you lately?"

"Nothing, mommy's mean daddy!" She groaned.

"Well mommy said that you've been having an attitude and have been really mean over there." I said and she frowned. "What's going on darling?"

"They only care about bubby." She pouted. "And he cries a lot and is really loud. Mommy yells at me to be quiet all the time and there's nothing to do there." She said starting to cry. "I like being here with you, Parker, and Emmy. You guys always play with me when I ask."

"Ah, I see." I said lifting her onto my lap. "You play by yourself over there a lot don't you?" I asked and she nodded. "And because of the baby, they're always busy."

"I don't like going there." She whined. "I want to stay with you and play with Parker."

"I'll talk to her darling." I said kissing her head. "I love you."

"I love you daddy." She said leaning back into me. "You guys won't stop playing with us once sissy's born will you?"

"Of course not." I assured her. "We'll figure it out when the time comes, but you know she'll need a lot of attention at first. Babies can't do what you can do."

"Like what?" She asked and I chuckled.

"Well, they're too little to play, eat, or even go to the bathroom on their own. They just cry and sleep a lot." I explained. "Mumma and I will need to spend a lot of time with her sometimes." I said accidentally calling Emily 'mumma' instead of Emmy. "I meant Emmy." I said correcting myself.

"I wish Emmy was my mumma." She sighed. "She's nice to me."

"Stop that darling. You've got your own." I frowned. "I'll talk to her for you."

"Fine." She groaned. "But I like Emmy more." She said crawling off of my lap. "I'm going to play with Parker." She said leaving me and I sat there and chuckled.

It's sad that Eden feels the way she does about her own mother, but I don't blame her. Amber hasn't put in the effort to be a good mother to her while Emily has already. I just hope that once the baby is born Parker and Eden act okay and are patient.

Hi this was written quickly and is short but I kinda went away for awhile lol

I know I always say I've been dealing with a lot, but I really have this time ahhh. I'm a senior this year so the last month and a half has been crazy anyway, on top of that I've had personal stuff to deal with.

But I graduate on Wednesday so hopefully I'll update more, but I was think of making a sequel for after the baby is born? Idk yet.

Anyway I'm back💙
