"I'm bored." Parker said for what felt like the one millionth time.

Amber had a perfectly normal labor and had her baby boy- Ethan, after being here for hours waiting. It was now nearly 3am, the kids should be asleep, but now Eden was in with Amber meeting her baby brother while Parker and I waited.

Thankfully they had both napped for a bit while we waited, so they did sleep a little bit.

"Go back to sleep bud." I sighed. "I know it's not comfortable here but it's late."

"I want to go home." He pouted.

"Me too." I mumbled. "We're leaving soon."

We waited another fifteen minutes before Eden walked out with Matt, Amber's husband.

"Hey darling." I whispered as she ran over to me. "How'd you like it?"

"He's kinda ugly daddy." She said causing me laugh. "His names Ethan and he's squishy."

"I heard baby, are you ready to go? You two need to get to bed." I said and she nodded. We said goodbye to Matt so he could be with Amber and then made our way out to the car.

I helped the two kids into their seats and then sat in the drivers seat, texting Emily first.

To: Emily
We're coming home now, I'm sorry it's late. I love you baby.

After sending the text I started the car and started driving home. I played some music quietly to help Eden and Parker stay quiet and hopefully fall asleep.

"Daddy?" Eden said and I sighed.

"What darling?" I replied.

"Is baby girl going to be ugly too?" She asked and I couldn't help but life. We had all been referring to the baby as 'baby girl' because we still haven't decided on a name.

"She won't be." Parker mumbled. "Don't say that."

"I doubt she'll be ugly Eden." I chuckled. "You'll love her no matter what."

The rest of the drive was quiet and we eventually made it home.

"Alright, be quiet now. Emmy is probably sleeping." I said taking both of their hands and walking inside the house. However, when we walked inside you could hear the tv was on and see the light of it from the living room.

I brought both kids to the stairs to find Emily sitting on the couch watching tv.

"You two go up to bed." I said pointing up the stairs. They both nodded and slowly walked upstairs while I walked over to Emily. "Why are you still awake babe?" I asked.

"I didn't want to go to bed without you." She mumbled, standing up. "But can we go to bed now? I'm tired."

"Yes. Let's go." I chuckled, following her up the stairs. "I'm just going to say goodnight to the kids real quick." I said, going across the hall to Eden's bedroom first.

"Are you ready?" I asked Eden who was laying in bed already.

"Yes daddy." She giggled. "I love you."

"I love you too darling. Sleep well." I said, tucking her in and giving her a kiss. "Goodnight." I said and then walked out of her room, leaving the door cracked open. I then made my way to Parker's room.

"Ready for bed?" I asked and he nodded.

"I'm sleepy daddy." He said quietly. I carefully tucked him in afterwards and nodded.
