It's Sunday afternoon and I'm at Ashton's hanging out, just him, his wife, and myself.
"I don't know what to do." I groaned leaning back on the couch. "I need a job, I'm broke and have a child."
"Have you applied anywhere?" Ashton's wife, Hannah, asked.
"Yeah, to a bunch of places and I haven't gotten any calls back and I'm starting to worry a little." I sighed. "I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm getting low on money and my mom is still sending me a little to help me but I can't keep letting her do that."
"Well, I could use some help at the office." Ashton shrugged. "I mean you don't have to, but it's good money and schedule can be very flexible if you need it to me, I'd be your boss so I'd understand."
"Won't it be weird having you be my boss?" I asked him.
"Only if you make it weird, and it doesn't have to be a permanent job either." He told me and I nodded thinking about it for a moment.
I'm desperate for a job at this point because I have no money, maybe it wouldn't be that bad.
"Okay. Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded.
"Of course. I'll call you on Tuesday to give you more details on it because I'll have to go in tomorrow and get everything set up." He said.
"Thank you." I said and he nodded.
"Not problem. Now what's going on with you and this Emily girl?" He asked and I shrugged.
Honestly I don't know, we haven't talked for a couple of days now which was kind of weird.
"Nothing really, we're just friends. I haven't heard from her in a few days." I shrugged.
"Well do you like her or what?" Hannah asked.
"I don't know, I guess maybe a little. She's really nice and pretty." I said and Hannah chuckled.
"Have you tried talking to her at all this weekend?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yes, she hasn't replied to anything." I groaned.
"Hmm, that's weird." She said and I nodded.
"I guess." I said looking at my phone. "Shit, I have to go. I'm late." I groaned standing up and walking to my car.
Amber was dropping Eden off around four and it was now almost four thirty.
I got in my car and drove home as fast as I legally could and when I arrived back at my apartment Amber's car was there waiting. It was raining so I'd imagine they waited in her car.
