Peridot POV

Lapis decided it was a good idea to skip the rest of school and go to Cumberland's, it's not like I'm doing anything productive in that bed counting my cuts. Plus it will give me more time to hangout with Lapis even though it's kind of awkward because I can see the hickies on her neck and the fact that I heard her almost had sex with Jasper. So trying to avoid talking I walk behind her which I am now regretting I just couldn't help but stare at her body I try not to stare at her um booty. I noticed a blue pointy thing, maybe a tattoo?

We arrive at Cumberland farms, Lapis is walking down every aisle and in every aisle she has more candy in her hands. She giggles as she skips and it's adorable to see her so happy, it's been awhile since I seen her this happy. I think the last time I saw this happy, we were at a field trip in sixth grade...

*flashback*

"Peri! Peri! Peri" Lapis said holding my hand dragging me to the shark tank.

"I'm going as fast as I can Lappy" me and lapis are the bestest of friends nothing can separate us well except... Jasper. Lapis stares in awe at the great white her face inches away from the tank, while I stare at her in awe. All day she has been so happy being around sea life, which she's always have loved. I don't know what to call this feeling is called but every time I around Lazuli she just leaves me speechless.

*end flashback*

That's probably my favorite memory as a kid, I'm smiling just thinking of it. Things have really changed since then... she's really changed since then, but me I am still the nerdy kid in love with a girl that I'll never get. I let out a sigh and I guess she heard and turned around.

"You okay?" she asks like she actually cares about me.

"Yeah I'm fine" I faked a smile but she could see right through me, and it made me shiver.

"Peridot, please I can tell that your lying. Just tell me what you're thinking of." I started blushing really hard, she has her hands on her hips making her look even more serious and freaking gorgeous.

"I guess, I'm still a little sore for Jasper"

"Shit me too" I blush hard at what she said, remember what they did. Rethinking about the art class before they came in, I used to know Lapis like the back of my hand, but now it's just confusing one moment she's making out with him but she openly presents art work about her struggling relationship and why didn't the art teacher report it if she knows what's going on. It all just goes back to the simple question: why is she with him? She could do so much better, literally anyone besides Jasper. It just makes me feel bad when I see her bruises lazily hidden as if she wants everyone to know she's a punching bag. She's actually the exact opposite when we were kids she used to beat up anyone who picked on me, which was a lot of people and to thank her I always took her to the beach because it made her so happy to swim and play in the sand, it

We arrived at Cumberland's, Lapis went immediately went to the candy isle and filling her arms with as much candy as possible. I grabbed a mountain dew and Doritos. I kept myself amused by watching Lapis freak out on which to buy twizzlers or mike n' ikes, which is beyond adorable.

"Lapis I can help you pay so you can get both" she squealed and speed walked to the counter, I followed behind her. When she placed all of her candy down it covered the entire counter. I paid for the whole thing, Lapis tried but I didn't let her which made her pout which made me blush for the adorableness radiating from this perfect person I've ever met.

"Thanks, Peri" Lapis said eating her twizzlers.
