A/N:
So over my recent hiatus I realized I had hit over 20k. Wow. So to honor that and to give y'all some of my happiness over the 20K, I decided to do a big long chapter. I just written it today, and there is A LOT if POV switches. But I think I make up for it, for telling you guys about the night Peridot cheated.

Peridot’s POV
Yea I cheated, and I feel disgusting. I never thought I was one of those people who just go around cheating on their partner, and I’m not.

“Come on let’s go!” Amethyst said in her usual loud voice while tugging on my arm.
    “I don’t know I got a lot of homework that’s due on Friday.”
    “You can do that when you get home.”
    “You and I both know if I go to a party I will not be coming back sober enough to stand.”
    “Please baby, for me” she pouts and looks at me with the most innocent doughy eyes I’d ever seen.
    “How can I ever say no to you” she smiles and kisses my cheek, then runs into the closet to look for an outfit.

Amethyst still doesn’t know but I know one day she will, and I’m prepared to see her heart shatter right in front of me. Another heart’s destruction caused by the world’s dumbest person alive. I haven’t slept in the two weeks since it happened, every time I close my eyes I see it happening over and over again.

Lapis’ POV
    Watching the ribbons twirl and the way her body graciously floats across the room, it’s my favorite time of day. Whenever I watch Pearl dance I completely forget about Peridot, I swear. Me and Pearl are perfect for each other, and I love her so much I even told her.

Thump, thump, thump… her heart beat is slow and fragile when I have my ear against her chest. I try and focus on the roaring fire or the movie but all I can think of is how she smells like roses.
“Pearl”
“Yes Lappy?” I smile at the nickname she’s given me.
“I love you” her pale blue eyes hold so much tense and worry, that it sends a shiver down my spine.
“Look there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you…”
“What is it?” I can feel my stomach falling and my heart crack.
“I love you too silly,” she softly kisses my forehead “what did you think I was gonna say?”
“That you are leaving.” I lift my head up from her chest and I miss the rhythm of her heart beat.
“Hey, I’m not Peri-dork or Cheeto” I cringe, but not for the name I should “I’m sorry I should have brought him up.”
“Yeah…” I put my head back on her chest, and this time I got lost in the roaring fire and movie.

It was such a bitter-sweet moment, but I feel like our relationship. Everyone at school has voted unofficially that we are the cutest most popular couple (not like there’s much competition), it’s cute. Pearl perfred to keep it on the low, and I never saw why but I never asked.
    “Ready to go babe?” Pearl said while putting on her jacket.
    “Yeah” I stand up from my seat and take her hand, she kisses my cheek as we walk out the dance studio.

Peridot’s POV
    My professor drones on and on, usually I would be taking notes and paying attention but not today. Today is no time for learning, just pain and regret. I press my head against the cold window, watching the raindrops roll down gracefully.
