Third POV
5:54 am in the morning, Peridot and Lapis slept comfy, their bodies intertwining. Lapis’ hand slipped under Peridot’s shirt, as Peridots wrapped around her love’s waist. Even in their sleep they were smiling ear to ear the memory of their kiss still fresh in their minds. For Lapis it was her first kiss that truly passionate in awhile, you see Jasper maybe abusive but it wasn’t always like that.
    Jasper used to be a nice guy and really loved Lapis ever since they met in first grade but Lapis had been too busy focused on other things. Jasper spent five year flirting and doing romantic things for Lapis before she finally agreed to date him. It wasn’t long before Jasper showed malicious traits that Lapis didn’t want any part of, but he had threatened her saying is she left he would kill Peridot. At the time Lapis knew Jasper was filled with empty threats until Jaser showed Lapis that he is not just talk and that was the first day Jasper beat up Peridot. It scared Lapis so much she decided it was better and safer for Peridot is they no longer talked, and she hoped that she would stopped caring about Peridot but deep down not a second went by that she didn’t think of her.
Lapis was a straight A, ballerina, she had no interest in boys, and the only true friend she had was Peridot. Lapis felt ignored at her home, her mom didn’t pay attention to her only her randoms hook ups until she met her husband but she still looks for late night hook ups. After Lapis seeing her mom throw herself around man to man she swore never to date anyone ever. That is until she met Jasper.
For Peridot it was a whole different type of hell. These three suffered from different types of abuse: Jasper suffered from mental abuse, Lapis suffers from physical abuse, and Peridot suffers from emotional abuse. One day Lapis, Peridot’s best and only friend since her parents died just left her and to Peridot threw her into the lion’s den. Peridot suffered from serious depression, she even tried killing herself a few times but never succeeded obviously. But even before they started dating Lapis became distant with Peridot, not because she wanted to but she kind of got distracted and this crushed Peridot she felt like she was all alone again. And it remained that way for five years, until now.

Peridot POV
Lapis is still asleep lightly snoring with her fingertips grazing my torso but I don't mind. Our kiss runs freshly through my mind the way her lips felt like the the kiss was real… like it wasn't fake or forced it was natural like our lips were meant for one another, I never wanted to stop and I don't think we would have if it wasn't for Jasper. He had always found a way to ruin good things for me. But nobody not even Jasper can ruin this moment with me and my Lappy, I know we aren't dating but after last night I just felt like I was hers and she is mine.
