Peridot POV

For the second time I wake up to Lapis be ripped out of my arms. I couldn't see her face but she was panting like a dog, I put my hand on her shoulder and she jumped a little.

“you okay Lapis?”

“why don't you call me Lappy anymore?” I blush from the innocent memories from when we were kids.

“Well Jasper calls you that I thought only he can call you that” even though it was my nickname for her first.

And it was like she read my mind and said “but you used to call me that way before Jasper.”

“I know but things are different now. Why does it matter?”

“Because Jasper ruined everything that was sweet in my life, I have bruises up and down my body that I no longer care if anyone sees. I lost all my friends, I changed into this shitty person who I fucking hate! And most importantly… I lost you, my best friend.” she started crying really hard, all I could do is hug her.

“Why did you act like you didn't know me this morning or like you forgot me?”

She pushed me away at arms length and looked into my eyes. Her eyes, I've never seen something so shattered and sad I hate seeing her like this.

“I never forgot you, I just thought you forgot me…”

“Lapis I could never forget you, you're my Lappy” she smiled.

“Thanks Peri.”

We stayed silent, none of us wanting to ruin such a great moment, we just looked into eachothers eyes. With Lapis’ eyes bright red eyes and tear stained cheeks, she's still the most beautiful person I've ever met.

Now I don't know what possessed me to even have the courage to kiss Lapis but I did. I slowly leaned on giving her time to realise what I'm doing but she grabbed my face and pulled me closer starting the kiss… I can't believe I'm kissing Lapis Lazuli. She grabbed my hands and placed them around her waist, then placed her arms around my neck. I felt like I was in heaven.

Lapis POV

Kissing Peri was just like my dream, a little sloppy at first but got for the hang of it. She pulled me closer deepening the kiss, which I loved.

BUZZ.

The vibration of my phone broke the kiss which made me groan. I pulled out my phone the caller id said Jasper, I didn't want to answer but I knew if I didn't he'd hurt me. I got up from the bed and got on the furthest corner away from Peridot.

“Hello?”

“Where the fuck are you”

“A friends house”

“Who?”

“Why so many questions?”

“Because we had plans and you didn't tell me you were going to fucking bailed on me. I bet you're fucking that guy you ate lunch with.”

“Fuck off Jasper”

“Whore”

“Asshole”

“Cunt”

“You weak sliver of shit that doesn't fucking matter!” hangs up, my blood was boiling I can't fucking stand Jasper.

I felt skinny pair of arms around my waist, I turn around and see Peridot with a concerned face.

“You okay Lappy?” I smile.

“Yes, but now I'm tired” she removed her arms grabbed my hand and lead me to her bed. She laid down first and I cuddled into her. I slowly feel asleep listening to her heart beat.
