Draco X Reader: The Silent Treatment (One-Shot!)

Your boyfriend sat across from you in the library, his hands trying to grab yours across the table. You had been giving Draco the silent treatment ever since you had found out about his father's mission. He sighed. "Baby, please talk to me." You ignored him, looking straight down at your book. 

You continued to pretend to read, even though no words were being processed. "Please. It's killing me not to hear your voice."

You sighed, looking up at the blonde boy. Worry was placed elegantly in his grey eyes, causing a crease to appear in-between his eyebrows. "Please talk to me." He whispered.

Looking down again, you placed a gentle hand in his. "I'm scared."

"Of what?" Draco asked.

"I'm scared of him hurting you" You replied.

His eyes softened and he held onto your hands tightly. 

"I'm not going to leave you, (Y/N), Never, I love you."

You gently pulled away sighing sadly, "I'm a muggle-born; you really think your family is going to accept that?" You asked.

"You erased your parents memory, so technically you could say you are a pureblood but your parents died when you were a child and you were taken to an orphanage" Draco said.

"Draco... When I was child, I erased my parent's memory... Then they were killed and I sent to a young wizard orphanage, they didn't accept muggle-borns so I just said that I was a pureblood..." You muttered softly.

Draco looked at you shocked, "How did you really get to Hogwarts then?" Draco asked.

"Remus adopted me..." You mumbled and stood up closing your book.

"Why did you lie to me? You knew I wasn't going to judge you, I don't care (Y/N), I still love you" Draco stood and followed you out of the library.

You remained silent and began walking toward the Slytherin common room.

"Baby, please talk to me" Draco begged.

You once again remained silent and continued walking, you were about to walk upstairs to the Girls Dormitories when Draco grabbed your arm and pulled you toward him.

"Nothing and I mean nothing, will ever get between us you hear me?" Draco said sternly. 

You pulled away from him and just walked up the stairs ignoring Draco. "I love you!" Draco shouted, he sighed when you didn't reply, he pivoted around and walked up to the Boys Dormitories.

The next day

You walked into the Main Hall for breakfast, you sat down at the Slytherin table and happened to notice Draco wasn't sitting across from you like he always did every morning ever since you two had met.

You knew something must have gone horribly wrong; he had never once been late for breakfast unless he was with you. 

You stood up and walked around Hogwarts not being able to find Draco, Where would he have gone? You asked yourself.

You turned around and saw The Room of Requirement doors, you walked up to them as they opened for you, you walked inside and saw the doors close behind you.

You looked around wondering where Draco could be hiding; it would take forever to find him in all these piles of furniture and useless objects.

You took out your wand and flicked it.

Suddenly Draco came out of nowhere and fell on top of you.

Draco looked at you shocked, "What the bloody hell was that for?" Draco got off of you looking at you shocked.

You remained silent.

"You had to use a spell?! Will you just leave me alone?!" Draco cried.

You noticed Draco's eyes were beat red, you gently wiped a tear that streamed down his cheek.

"I know you're going to leave me..." Draco muttered softly.

You looked at Draco shocked at his words.

"Talk to me!" Draco begged, "Answer me! I need to hear your voice!" Draco cried as he gently rested his head on your shoulder and began to sob.

You sighed sadly and gently stroked his blonde hair.

Draco looked deeply into your (E/C) eyes, "Please talk to me, I know you're scared but I won't let anything happen to you, I promise" Draco whispered to you.

"You don't know that..." You muttered softly.

"Why are you so afraid?" Draco asked.

"I don't want him to hurt you because of me..." You sighed, "Voldemort killed my parents, I had to change my name so he wouldn't find me, if he found out you were helping me he would kill you..." You sighed sadly.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" Draco asked gently caressing your cheek.

"It would put you in danger... I don't want you to be in danger..." You sighed sadly.

"Everything will be just fine I promise okay, no one is going to find out, you're jumping to conclusions luv" Draco kissed your forehead.

"I'm not jumping to conclusions, I'm being logical..." You sighed sadly.

"You're being foolish" Draco cupped your cheeks and kissed your forehead, "Everything will be just fine, I promise" Draco whispered to you.

You leaned in and kissed Draco passionately, "If you die I'll have nothing... You're all I have left..." You mumbled.

Draco gently put his forehead to yours, "You're not going to lose me, I promise you" Draco gave you a gentle smile, "I will protect you" Draco whispered.

"And I shall protect you" You said bravely as you tightly grasped Draco's hand.

Draco smiled softly as he held you close, you gently rested your head on his chest, his embrace was so soothing to you. Draco lovingly stroked your hair and kissed your forehead telling you everything was going to be alright.
