Magnus X Reader (One-Shot)

You walked into the Police Station with Kurt Wallander, You walked upstairs seeming a bit nervous, this was the first time you got the chance to work on your first case, a part of you was excited and another part of you was anxious.

"Don't worry, you'll do fine!" Kurt said as he looked at you bringing you over to his desk and opening his desk drawer.

"This is my first case Kurt, I think I should be allowed to be nervous don't you think?" You let out a small breathe and smiled a bit.

"Well you'll do fine, here's your badge and gun..." Kurt said as he took out a gun and your badge putting it on the desk, "You do know how to shoot right?" Kurt asked.

"Uh... sure..." You muttered softly.

"You'll be working with Magnus Martinsson" Kurt said as he got up from his desk, "Make sure you take your gun, you might need it..." Kurt chuckled.

You picked up the gun looking around nervously as you just stuffed it into her bag.

"There's a desk over there for you..." Kurt pointed to the small desk in the corner, "Martinsson can always help you set up the computer..." Kurt said.

"Thanks..." You smiled a bit and walked over to your desk sitting down and sitting your bag on the floor.

A tall man with curly dirty blonde hair, he wore a striped blue T-shirt and jeans, "Your __________, right?" Magnus asked.

You nodded your head standing up, "And your Magnus Martinsson?" You asked staring at Magnus's bright eyes.

Magnus nodded his head and smiled at you, "So, we've just opened a case about these series of murders, blow to the head with an axe, but he quite don't know who's killing them and well... I thought you could help us on this one..." Magnus said as he handed you a file.

"So do you have any suspects?" You asked taking the file and looking at Martinsson curiously.

"Well... there's this one girl and well... here father was killed at the party and she tried to kill herself, she was in a coma, but she's awake now..." Magnus said.

"Well than let's go pay her a visit" Kurt said as he walked out with you and Magnus.

Once you all arrived at the hospital, before you all walked into the hospital room, you stopped Magnus and Kurt.

"Let me talk to her, when she attacked me I saw cuts on her wrists" Kurt said.

"No... I'm here to help so let me talk to her... alone..." You said walking into the hospital room and closing the door behind you.

Magnus watched through the small window on the hospital door.

"Hello, I'm ________, I work with Kurt Wallander, I'm just here to ask you a few questions..." You smiled at the girl slightly who was sitting up on the hospital bed staring into space.

"Look, I heard you tried to kill yourself... and I'm also very sorry about your father..." You muttered softly.

The girl looked at you trying to hide the cuts on her wrist.

"You know hurting yourself isn't the way out" You said.

"And how would you know that!? You have no idea how I feel!" The girl screamed at you.

"I know how you feel, I've had family and close friends die around me, I know how much it hurts and how bad you want your life to end... and I've hurt myself before too..." You slowly lifted your sleeve showing the girl the deep scars on your arms.

The girl looked at you surprised.

You quickly pulled your sleeve back down and let out a sigh.

"You still hurt yourself... don't you?" The girl said.
