House X Reader: Mean Attitude (One-Shot!)

Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital

You were a Doctor at Princeton and also happened to be a part of Dr. Gregory Houses' team. You also happened to be House's girlfriend, you walked into House's office and saw him sitting at his desk tossing a ball in the air and catching it.

"Why are you so mean toward Chase? Just because he made a mistake?" You crossed your arms and saw the middle aged man turn his head and look at you.

"He made two mistakes actually?" House put the tennis ball on his desk, picked up his cane and stood up walking over to you, "He could have killed the patient!" House said sternly.

"Well he didn't" You watched House walk out of his office, "Can you at least apologize?" You asked.

"Why should I apologize for his stupidity?" House looked at you and rolled his eyes walking down the hallway.

"You screamed at him House; don't you think it was a little much? I mean...", "I'm not apologizing, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the clinic and deal with more idiots" House walked into the elevator.

You sighed and walked into the elevator as well.

"You don't have to work in the clinic" House looked at you confused the elevator doors closed.

You kissed House's cheek.

"What was that for?" House asked.

"Am I not allowed to kiss your cheek? I love you" You gently nudged him, the elevator door opened and you stepped out, "I can't do it in public, Cuddy thinks it's unprofessional to kiss in public, remember that talk we got?" You smiled softly. 

"Unfortunately yes" House mumbled and walked into the clinic, he suddenly noticed you look at your pager than run to the ER. House peeked out of the clinic and saw a bunch of nurses run off with you, he shrugged and walked back into the clinic.

Meanwhile

You saw a teenage girl being rushed into the ER, you quickly picked up her file skimming over it. Paramedics rushed her to the side and walked away, you stopped a paramedic.

"Mind telling me what happened?" You asked looking at the paramedic not impressed.

"Drug overdose, sleeping pills" He said before getting back into the ambulance.

Cameron ran up to you, "What happened?" Cameron asked as Chase ran up behind her wondering what was going on.

"Overdose on sleeping pills, she has to get her stomach pumped" You suddenly heard her heart monitor stop, "Pacemaker!" You shouted as Cameron quickly handed it to you, "Clear!" You shouted as the nurses quickly stepped back.

Cameron looked at the heart monitor but there was nothing, "Dammit..." She mumbled.

"Clear!" You shouted again.

But again there was nothing.

You tried once more; you looked at the heart monitor and realized her heart had started again, "Get her stomach pumped now!" You looked at Cameron.

Cameron nodded as her and the nurses rushed off with her.

You quickly followed, you walked into the patients room, "We need to put her on Steroids, her immune system is failing quickly" Chase said.
