It had been exactly 2 months since you and Charles broke up, to be honest, you missed him like crazy but you used everything you had not to show it. You were now dating some normal human; you were walking down the halls of the school holding hands with your new boyfriend.

You noticed your boyfriend stop you and take out his phone, he looked at it and sighed, “I have to go… I’ll call you later okay?” He smiled then kissed you passionately before running off.

Charles was standing next to the window watching you, he looked down sadly.

You turned around seeing Charles looking at the window; you walked up to him and gave him a soft smile, “Have you and Erik found any new mutants yet?” You asked.

Charles shook his head.

“Are you still looking for new mutants?” You asked.

Charles shrugged his shoulders.

“Have you even been communicating with any new mutants since we broke up?” You asked.

Charles shook his head and looked up at you, sunlight shined in through the pane of the window and onto Charles face making his gorgeous blue eyes sparkle.

You couldn’t help but look down and blush.

“I have only one question for you __________” Charles said.

“What would that be?” You asked looking at Charles curiously; your heart began to race faster hoping that Charles would perhaps ask for you back, that he would confess that he missed you as much as you missed him.

Charles then spoke, “Is he a good man?” He asked.

Your heart sunk, “Yes he is Charles” You sighed, your boyfriend was a good man, but he wasn’t Charles, Charles could make you smile, could cheer you up when you were at your lowest, your new boyfriend couldn’t do any of that.

Charles wiped the sweat from his forehead, he had just come back from a run, he thought perhaps he needed to go on another one to burn off some more steam.

“Is he a better man then me?” Charles asked looking deeply into your eyes.

“Charles” You looked at him sadly.

“Well?” Charles asked, “Is he?” He added on hoping you would respond quickly.

“I thought you only had one question for me?” You fondled with your fingers trying your best to hold back your tears.

“I have plenty of questions to ask you” Charles said, “Like…. Why did you break my heart and stomp on it? Why did you leave me? What did I do? What did I do?!” Charles shouted.

A single tear managed to stream down your cheek, you could feel your heart shatter, you couldn’t bare being without Charles but you knew now that he would probably never want you back.

“What did I do wrong?” Charles asked more calmly.

“Erik told me you love Raven…. Not me…” You managed to say, you felt like running but you were tired of it, it was time to face your true feelings.

“Erik told you I love Raven and you believed him… You didn’t bother to come to me and ask if it was true? You just blew it off!” Charles cried.

“P-Please stop shouting” You begged as warm tears began to pour down your cheeks.

“Do you know how much it broke my heart when you left me? I felt like dying!” Charles cried.

“You didn’t think I felt the same way! Thinking that you loved Raven and not me! I tried killing myself Charles! Thank god Erik caught me in the act and saved me!” You sobbed.

Charles was silent, his eyes widened, “You tried to kill yourself?” Charles asked.

You nodded sighing sadly, “I tried hanging myself… Taking pills but Erik ended up making me puke them up…” You looked down.

“Oh come now… You know you don’t deserve that luv” Charles cupped your cheeks.

“Knowing that you don’t love me, that you love another woman, that means I deserve to die because the man I love most doesn’t care for me anymore” You said pulling away.

“I don’t love Raven _________, Erik does” Charles explained.

“You’re lying…” You muttered softly.

“You think I would ever lie to you? I love you with all my heart… I’d take a bullet for you ________” Charles wrapped his hand around the back of your neck and pulled you forward pressing his lips against yours.

“Charles…” You blushed quickly looking down.

“Please take me back…” Charles begged.

You looked up at Charles, you couldn’t help but stare deeply into his bright blue eyes, they were so mesmerizing.

Charles looked at you sadly, “You don’t love me anymore, do you?” Charles said.

“Why would you think such a thing?” You asked grabbing Charles by his sweater vest kissing him passionately, “I love you with all my heart Charles…” You confessed.

Charles kissed back, he slowly pulled back grinning, he gently wiped the tears from your cheeks kissing your forehead.

Both you and Charles turned around hearing someone clear their throat.

You gasped realizing it was your boyfriend, you took a deep breath and walked toward him, “Please, let me explain” You begged.

“No, it’s fine, I completely understand… Really, I understand how you feel about Charles” He said, “Now go on, be with Charles, he makes you happy” He kissed your cheek.

You smiled at him, you were so glad he understood.

“I left my sweater here, I just came to pick it up” He smiled innocently and walked into your room picking up his sweater walking out, he gave Charles a smile before leaving.

“He took that better than I expected…” You looked relieved.

Charles walked up to you and hugged you, “I love you…” Charles whispered to you caressing his arms around your waist.

“I love you too Charles” You smiled enjoying his warm embrace.

Erik turned the corner and saw you and Charles hugging each other, he hesitantly walked by you and Charles.

“Oh, Erik!” You called.

Erik stopped and slowly turned around, “Yes _________?” He asked looking at you curiously; he looked at Charles who gave him a smile.

You slapped Erik as hard as you could; you then straightened your outfit.

“I was not expecting that…” Charles muttered looking down at the floor; he couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle.

Erik looked at you shocked, “What the hell was that for?” Erik asked rubbing his cheek trying to ease the pain.

“That’s for lying to me about Charles loving Raven, you know, Raven really likes you Erik, we’ve had a sleepover before, all she talked about was you and how much she loved you…” You said.

Erik blushed looking at you shocked.

“It would be ashamed to tell her that you don’t love her back, would you like me to tell her that?” You asked crossing your arms.

Erik quickly shook his head.

“Then don’t ever lie to me or Charles again or I’ll tell Raven this little lie” You smirked.

Erik nodded and swallowed looking at you scared.

“Good, now run along now…” You said watching Erik quickly walk away, you turned around and smiled at Charles walking up to him hugging him tightly. “Oh I love it when you get all bad ass” Charles chuckled kissing you passionately.
