Avengers X Reader: Trick or Treat? (One-Shot!)

October 31st


It was Halloween, it was almost dark and you had convinced your closest friends, The Avengers and Loki, to join you to go trick or treating. They though Ahhh! What the heck? I get candy anyways. You came out dressed as a princess; you smiled looking at The Avengers in their costumes.

Tony was dressed in a clean suit but was wearing an iron hat that covered his head and only showed his face, Natasha was wearing a small purple dress but had spider legs’ coming out of her back, and Hawkeye was dressed as a Hawk. The Hulk was dressed as Frankenstein and was holding a pumpkin dressed like his human self, Steve was dressed in a patriotic dress. No one had any idea what Thor was and finally Loki was dressed up as a vampire.

The Avengers all looked down at their costumes, “Do we really have to wear these? We look so stupid? People think were heroes, this is going to ruin our reputation” Tony muttered softly.

“Hulk look stupid” He said laughing at Steve’s outfit.

“Yeah… Tony’s right… I shouldn’t have to dress up like a gal” Steve covered his chest blushing, “I look ridiculous” Steve muttered.

Tony pulled out his Iphone and snapped a picture of Steve, “This is totally going all over the internet… Tumblr and Twitter included” Tony chuckled.

Steve huffed and looked at you.

“Can’t we just stay home and make Coulson go out and get us candy?” Hawkeye asked as Natasha couldn’t help but laugh hysterically at Clint’s costume.

“You’re a bird” She giggled.

“And you’re a black widow” Hawkeye stuck his tongue out at her.

“Yes, and I am very deadly” She crossed her arms smirking.

“Thor….? What exactly are you supposed to be?” You asked looking at him confused, he was wearing horns.

“Did you take those off my helmet?” Loki looked at Thor.

Thor nodded grinning, “I’m a goat!” Thor exclaimed.

“Have you been drinking?” Tony asked looking at Thor chuckling, “Well that explains why he’s in his red shorts and showing off his very hairy legs” Tony said.

“You owe me a new helmet!” Loki shouted at Thor crossing his arms pouting.

“I can just super glue them back on Loki” You muttered softly.

“No! Thor owes me a new helmet! End of story” Loki growled.

“Are you going to hold those on the side of your head all night?” Tony asked.

“Yes” Thor said.

“Okay…” Tony laughed rolling his eyes.

“Hulk look stupid, why is pumpkin dressed as Bruce?” Hulk asked.

“You are a great Frankenstein Hulk and the pumpkin is a joke” You looked at Tony and laughed a bit.

Hulk nodded looking at Tony.

“Come on, let’s go get some candy” You smiled running out of the Avengers tower with your pillow case, The Avengers followed you out of the tower and down a street.

“Why are their little munchkins walking around?” Tony asked.

“It’s Halloween Tony, kids dress up on Halloween and go door to door and say ‘Trick or Treat’ and then they get candy, they usually stay out for a few hours then go home, sort it and check it… Then eat it…” You smiled.

“Why are so many of them dressed as us… Some are dressed in homemade Ironman suits… Some are dressed up as Captain America, even Hawkeye” Tony smiled.

“Some dressed as Hulk” Hulk said smiling a bit.

“Some are dressed as me too” Natasha watched a small girl walk beside a boy that was dressed as Hawkeye laughing and giggling.

“Some are dressed as the Mighty Thor!” Thor grinned watching a few boys dressed as Thor walk by.

“See you guys… Your heroes” You smiled.

Loki gasped and saw a girl dressed as a female version of him, “Oh my…” He muttered softly but saw a teenager dressed as him.

You smiled and walked up to a house, “Ready you guys?” You asked.

“I’ve never gone Trick or Treating before… I mean… I’ve always wanted too… But my dad or mom never took me out to that kind of thing…” Tony confessed.

“Well go on… You can go first” You smiled gently pushing Tony forward.

Tony walked up to the door hesitantly and rang the doorbell, he saw an old woman open the door, Tony held out his pillow case feeling like an absolutely idiot, “Trick or Treat?” He said.

The old woman smiled, “Aren’t you Mr. Stark? Philanthropist? Billionaire? So sweet going out for Halloween and Trick or Treating with the children… So sweet young man” She gently pinched Tony’s cheek and gave him some candy.

Tony smiled and watched the woman close the door, he turned around and smiled at you, he walked back over to The Avengers and Loki, “Such a sweet lady” Tony smiled.

“Come on…” You smiled pulling Loki toward another house, “Go on…” You pushed him toward the door off a house.

Loki watched a few kids walk pass him, he walked up the door, “Trick or Treat?” Loki asked looking at the young woman.

She giggled and put some candy in Loki’s bag, “Very cute” She smiled watching Loki walk away.

“That was fun… I guess…” Loki muttered softly.

“Me next! Me next!” Thor grinned and ran up to a house, “Trick or Treat?!” Thor smiled at an elderly woman; she looked at Thor up and down and slowly put some candy in his pillow case looking at him strangely.

You and Natasha couldn’t help but laugh; “You and Clint are next” You looked at Natasha smirking.

Natasha and Clint locked arms and walked up to the next house, “Um… Trick or Treat?” They both said in sync holding up their bags smiling innocently. Hulk went up a house as well and got some candy as so did you.





A few hours later



Avengers Tower


The Avengers, Loki and you were sitting around in a circle; they poured all their candy into a huge pile. The pile ended up being a few feet tall; you all had collected a lot of candy.

“I get the box of Pop-Tarts!” Thor exclaimed grabbing the box of Pop-Tarts placing them in his lap, he grinned and hugged the box.

“You actually got a box of Pop-Tarts?” You looked at Thor shocked and smiled laughing slightly.

“I call all the Pop Rocks” Natasha said.

“I want the Smarties” Tony said, “Or any candy with alcohol” Tony smirked.

“I call the Coffee Crisps as well” Thor grinned.

“I want all the chocolate raisins…” Loki muttered softly.

“I would love some of the Baby Ruths” Steve smiled.

“I want all the sour candy….” Hawkeye muttered softly.

“In all the years that I’ve known you, I’d never thought you’d like sour candy” Natasha giggled teasingly nudging Hawkeye.

“Hulk wants O’Henry and pizza” He grinned, “Pumpkin Bruce wants some Kit Kat too” Hulk said.

“I’ll order some” Tony chuckled.

“Thank you” Hulk smiled.

Tony pulled out his Iphone and ordered some plain cheese pizza.

Once the pizza arrived, you all sat in a circle still eating candy, eating pizza and drinking pop, you all had some laughs as well telling stories of Trick or Treating on Halloween. It was certainly the best Halloween you could ever had, with your best friends, The Avengers…. And Loki of course.
