You see when your eyes open again. You sit up quickly, ignoring the wires connected to you.
"Miss Y/N, I would advice you to keep laying down. I'll let Dr Banner and Mr Stark know you are awake." JARVIS sounds... relieved. Is that even possible for an AI?
You comply and lay back down, slowly taking in the room you are in.
A door slides open and you look up. Tony and Bruce walk in. They seem to lock the door behind them.
"Otherwise some people might come in and cause you possible stress." Bruce explains.
Nodding, you sit up again.
"Please lay down again." Tony asks gently.
You try to ask why, but nothing comes out. Panic crosses your features because Tony curses.
You're vision wavers before settling again.
A sudden calmness invades your cloud of panic.
"I'm sorry, we had to administer you something to calm down." Bruce explains.
Tiredly you lay down again, feeling like you have some sort of out-of-body experience.
"Can you focus on my voice?" Bruce asks kindly. You turn your head his way and listen.
"You seem to have pushed your limits until your body couldn't control it anymore. It seems that after you lost consciousness your gift started work on you, pushing yet more limits. We had to sedate you and put you into a medically induced coma so your gift didn't kill you.
We only lifted the coma once we were sure you were well enough to handle it. JARVIS checked your vitals, while Wanda checked your consciousness and awareness.
You lost your sight, hearing and ability to speak together with paralysis. It seems like your vocal cords are not in working order yet. This might not be because of what happened. You were in a lot of pain. It might be a result of that. Aside from that, everything seems to be in working order again."
You nod and close your eyes, arm over them. All of this because you wanted to help, even if you were in distress.
Coughing hurts, you throat feels like a desert.
Breathing out you relax your body and focuses on your vocal cords and throat. Slowly healing them.
"No, no, no! Shit, why didn't we see this coming Bruce? She cannot heal someone until we are sure she is 100 percent okay. She can't take any more risks. Goddamn it, Y/N, don't heal anymore. You were on the verge of dead two weeks ago because you went to far. You're still not okay!" Tony goes.
You try your voice. It's raspy, but works just fine.
"You flatter me with your concern, Tony, but I am fine."
"You're not. You're vitals are okay, but psychological things might not be okay yet. You have been gone for two weeks."
Rolling your eyes you stand up. You feel weak, as if you have barely any muscle.
"Please get these of me. I want to move around. Hope needs to know I am alive."
Hesitantly they remove all the wires from your body, of course after silently discussing it first.
Bruce walks with you to the door, typing in the code and the door slides open.
Revealing you your two super soldiers – and you flinch after the words formed in your mind – Natasha, Wanda and Vision.
"Soft breaths, don't go into hyperventilation please." Bruce sighs as he sets you down on the ground and helps you breath.
The memories of that night flashes in the forefront of your mind. The fear of losing them, panic, nervousness. Combined it's all too much.
Bruce breathing doesn't work. At all.
A solid chest behind you, a breathing pattern. In front of you someone who holds your hand on his chest while a metal hand holds his to your chest.
"Breathe." You hear behind you.
"Follow our pattern." They breath the same. Same amount of inhaling, pausing, exhaling, pausing.
You fall in their pattern, becoming awfully aware of who helped you out of it.
Exhausted, you slump against Steve's chest, not yet caring about it. Your eyes droop to a close.
"I need a nap," you barely get it out.
Someone lifts you and starts walking. The movement of the walking, rocks you to sleep.
You wake up in the middle of Steve's and Bucky's bed. Steve laying to your right, reading a book.
A shower runs so you assume Bucky is taking a shower.
"How are you feeling?" Steve asks as he puts his book on the nightstand and sits up.
"I'm okay. Where is Hope?"
"Wanda is taking her for a walk. Hope was anxiously pacing around and we didn't want to leave you alone."
You decide not to react and just sits up, stretching your arms and back.
"Are you hungry, Doll?" Bucky's voice comes from the bathroom, but it's still clear. The shower is turned off, so you assume he would come out soon.
"A little."
"We'll take you out."
No question, a statement.
"Erm, why?" Steve looks at you, Bucky who just comes out of the door gives you a stern look.
"Because we want to take you out. Don't stress about it."
Carefully you stand up, Steve is almost directly next to you.
"Sweetheart, take it easy. You've been out for two weeks, your body needs time to adjust. Here let me help you." Steve wraps his arm around you in support.
Heat burns in you cheeks and you know your blushing. Since when did he call you that?
You let him help you to your room. You take out clothing and look at Steve. He turns around. You sigh and change into something that is more appropriate for going out.
Letting the black dress flow, you look down. You don't feel stable enough on your feet to wear your heels.
"You could try those black shoes?" You look at Steve who is turned around again.
"Erm I knew you were done. I haven't seen anything!" He looks flustered.
"It's okay Steve." You pick up the shoes he recommended and put them on.
It fits and you feel comfortable in it. "You look good, Doll." Bucky leans against the open door.
You look him over. "Not bad yourself Bucky." A sly smile on his face and you know they have planned something.
"I'm going to get ready. Bucky." Steve gives him a stern look before leaving the room. Bucky sits down next to you before taking your hand in his. "You didn't have to go that far." He whispers. Vulnerable. "I was lost in thoughts while I was doing it. I wasn't aware how far I went until Steve stopped me."
"How are you feeling Buck? It might have been too much for you body to have that many triggers deactivated and removed."
"I feel great. I'm not triggered anymore. There might be some left but as of now I feel normal. The fear of being triggered is gone too." You smile. "That is good." Steve walks back in the room. "Are you ready?" You nod and Bucky helps you. He holds out his arm and you take it. He subtly supports you.
"Where specifically are we going?" You ask.
"That is a surprise. We made reservations." Steve is not telling you something. Bucky has that sly smile again.
What is their plan?
