The sounds of horse hooves hitting hard against the long road of rocks, followed by the constant rattling of the wooden wheels of the carriage you were in echoed through the dark and misty forest. 

"That Ciel... why does his manor have to be so far out of town and hidden in trees?" You mumbled to yourself, resting your head against the palm of your hand as you leaned against the carriage's window. Why were you going to the Phantomhive manor? Well, you were a newspaper journalist. You worked for one of the biggest newspaper companies. In fact, you were the company's ace—meaning, you were the one they always sent out to interview people, cover crime scenes, collect information about popular topics, and many more. This time, you were out to interview the one and only Ciel Phantomhive about his recent win in the curry contest. Even though his butler, Sebastian Michaelis, was the one who won it for Ciel. 

"We're here, Miss (Y/N)." The coachman said as the carriage came to an abrupt stop. You stepped out of the carriage as the coachman, Adam, opened its door for you. Adam was one of the coachmen that owns carriages, who works for the same company as you. Coachmen work there for the sole purpose of escorting journalists like you to far destinations. 

"I'll be waiting here. Good luck, kiddo." Adam said as he ruffled your hair before crossing his arms and leans against the side of the carriage. You smiled, "Thanks, Adam." You say as you fixed you ruffled hair and walk to the manor's large front doors. You took a deep breath and knocked gently on the wooden doors. 

You heard slight shuffling on the other side of the door, before it was opened by Ciel's butler, Sebastian. "Ah, Miss (Y/N), the young master is waiting for you in his office." The ravenette says as he bows elegantly, a smug-like smirk on his face. Something about that butler creeps you out sometimes. You step in, taking in the view of the manor's interior. It was large, it was bright, it was fancy. Everything inside looked like it would cost hundreds of dollars. 

"Right this way, miss (Y/N)." Sebastian says, noticing you zoning out. You snap out of your daze, before turning to the butler and nodding.

You follow him in the dim lit hallway of the manor. The place was so big you could easily get lost. As you went through left and right turns, Sebastian finally led you in front of two wooden doors. He slowly opened one of the doors and gestured for you to get inside. Following, your eyes fall upon Ciel's blue—almost grey—hair. Ciel was sitting behind a wooden table, his chin resting on the back of his clasped hands. 

"G-Goodmorning, Lord Phantomhive," You say, before bowing quickly. You were so fazed out about the inside of his office, that you almost forgot to greet Ciel. He could punish you on the spot for all you know, since he was a very cold and distant person. "Good morning, Miss (Y/N)," Ciel says in a monotone voice, as if he sounded quite bored. He gestured for you to take a seat on a chair on the other side of the table. You prepared the questions you were supposed to ask him.

After a few hours passed, the interview was over. You breathed a sigh of relief as you were free from the nervousness you felt before and during the interview. It was as if an angel came and took the weight off your shoulders. After bidding your farewells, you stood up to leave. As Sebastian was about to touch the doorknobs of the wooden doors, a faint knock was heard on the other side. You and Ciel looked at the door, confused. Sebastian opened the door to reveal a tall, charming, white-haired man dressed in elegant white clothing. 

"Good morning, Lord Phantomhive." The white-haired man said as he bowed, before looking at Sebastian, who was giving him a death glare. It was obvious these two hated each other. The man then fixed his gaze on you, sending shivers down your spine.
