The sunlight poured into your room, shining right down on your face causing you to roll over and burry you face into the pillow.

"Hey (y/n) wake up, it's almost time for breakfast and we don't want to be late for our first lesson" Nancy said, shaking you lightly before pulling the blankets off you. Being at the top of Ravenclaw tower meant that it gets a lot colder in the night than the rest of the castle, the cold air hit your bare legs making you curl up in a ball.

"Come on, your clothes are by your bed, ill be waiting downstairs in the common room with Andy but if you're too slow we'll leave without you" she teased as she left the room, slamming the door behind her.

The loud bang startled you, causing you to wake up. You sighed and stood up, stretching as you looked around the room, you noticed that all the other beds were made meaning that you were the last to wake up and get ready. You didn't want to be late on the first day, so you quickly slipped off you night gown and changes into your school robes, for September it was fairly mild, so you just decided on wearing the jumper, shirt, tie and skirt before quickly brushing your teeth. You took one last look in the mirror and combed through your (h/l) (h/c) hair, you didn't think of yourself as ugly, but you would never consider yourself as pretty, well especially compared to the girls back in beaux batons. Although they looked perfect, they let it get to their head, their obnoxious mannerism could get the better of them sometimes as they constantly teased you about your hair, or your face. You never wore make up, your father would always tell you that you didn't need it, your naturally long lashes, full lips and defined cheekbones rarely ever had an ounce of make up on them. However, you felt that today was going to be a good day, and you wanted to make a good first impression, so you simply applied some lip gloss and mascara before combing your hands through your hair one last time while rushing down the stairs.

"You took your time" Nancy groaned as she stood up from the chair "I finally just got comfortable as well" you rolled your eyes.

"Good morning to the both of you" you smiled and pulled them both up from the couch.

"Morning" Andrew smiled, his gaze falling to your lips before they met your eyes.

He held the door open for you both as you made your way to the great hall, the walk there was mainly silent, you noted to yourself that Nancy and Andrew were not morning people which was good as you weren't one yourself. You could never understand how people were so jolly and talkative in the mornings, however the sight of all the food laid out on the table definitely brightened your day.

You all sat down towards the middle of the table, Andrew sitting to your left while Nancy sat opposite you.

"So, what do we have first?" you say as you stab your fork into your fruit salad, you never really were a big eater in the mornings, however when lunch and dinner came around, it's a completely different story.

"Arithmancy" Andy replied with a mouth full of bacon, before washing it down with orange juice.

"Ugh I hate arithmancy, its honestly my worst subject" Nancy complained as she played about with her bowl of porridge.

"Really? I love arithmancy, I've always had a thing for numbers and maths, its just so interesting" you smile.

"You're such nerd" she replies before her gaze is focused on something behind you.

"Morning love" you felt and arm sneak around your shoulders as someone sat next to you.

"Oh, morning Sirius" you smiled, you have a quick morning to James and Remus who seemed to be trailing behind waiting for him.
