The Three Of Us

Chapter 14

I wake to the sound of my phone. I open my eyes and grab my phone not even looking at who is phoning.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Hey!" Dallas says happly.

"What's up Dallas?"

"Do you need a ride?"

"Please, my mom doesn't trust me to drive right now."

"K, been there around 8:00." I hang up and look at my clock. I go for a shower and let my hair dry. It's all gloomy and rainy so I put on a pair of jean shorts and a sweater. I put on some makeup and grab my purse and backpack. I hear Dallas honk and I run outside.

"Hey." She says while I get into the car.

"Sup."

"not much, Jensen asked me to the dance."

"Really?! I'm so happy for you."

"Maybe Caleb will ask you!"

"Doubt it." me and Dallas talk about the dance on the way to school. We walk into school together an we go to our lockers. I'm grabbing my book when I hear someone walk up.

"Hey." I look and see Caleb. He is wearing kaki pants and a black sweater.

"Hi Caleb."

"So, umm, carter I was wondering if you would like to go to the dance with me?" I smile.

"Sure."

"K, I'll pick you up at 6:45."

"Okay, bye Caleb." He leaves and Mickey walks up.

"Mason asked me to the dance!!!"

"Really?! Congrats!!!!"

"Thanks, so I saw you talking to Caleb."

"Ya?"

"And what was it about?" I feel a blush come to my cheeks.

"He asked me to the dance."

"Did you say yes?!?!"

"Ya!" Me and Mickey do a little happy dance.

"Let's get ready at my house." Suggests Mickey.

"K." I see Dallas walk up and I have a huge smile on my face.

"What?" She asks confused.

"He asked me." She still looks confused at first but then realizes what I'm talking about.

"Did you say yes?!" I nod my head and Dallas hugs me.

"Do you want to get ready at my house?" Asks Mickey ad Dallas nods. The bell rings and we head off to class. I sit and see Caleb sit next to me.

"Hey." I say with a huge smile on my face.

"Hello." The teacher walks in and we stop talking.

The rest of school goes by in a blur. I go out to the parking lot and meet Mickey and Dallas. Tomorrow is the dance so we are going to eat junk food and watch Netflix. We go to Dallas's house and we set up the pop corn, pop, and candy. We watch a chick flick because we are all in that mood. When the movie is done Dallas drops me and Mickey off at our houses. My mom is home when I get there but I sleeping. I go up to my room and get into my pjs and slowly drift off to sleep.
