2 months later

After my shower, I went to my room and put on my underwear and some deodorant and looked for something to wear to school today.

It's the second week of school and I don't like that shit whole one bit. The girls there are so messy and stuck up. That's exactly why I don't fuck with too many broads as it is.

There's this one girl named Jenny that's always staring and rolling her eyes at me for no apparent reason. I don't even know her.

Lyric said it's because I'm always with August, but hell, she can have August. We aren't together. I'm cool off her though. As long as her hands stay at her sides and she doesn't come out her mouth at me, I'm chilling.

Someone knocked on my room door interrupting me from my thoughts.

"Yeah," I yelled from the closet.

"Just checking to see if you were awake," my mother spoke as she opened my room door. "I'm heading to work now. Have a good day, sweetheart. I love you,"

"I love you more, Ma," I replied as I stuck my head out of the closet and blew her a kiss.

Once I heard the door close I began getting dressed. Mornings were usually hard for me but lately, I hadn't been moping around like I usually would. I was always ready to get my day over.

After I was done in my room, I grabbed my phone from the charger and headed downstairs to the kitchen.

I grabbed a plate from the cabinet and got some of the pancakes that were on the stove and sat at the island beside Kensie.

"I'm gonna grab my bag and I'll be ready," Kensie said as she stood to put her plate in the sink.

"Oh yeah can you bring mine too and my purse," I asked with my mouth full.

She nodded and soon disappeared out of the kitchen.

I looked at my phone, replying to the group chat with the crew I ran with back in Brooklyn.

I quickly finished my breakfast and I washed my dish before I went into the living room.

Kensie was sitting on the arm of the couch looking at something on her phone.

"Let's go," I spoke as I picked up my bag from the floor and lead the way out of the house.

When we made it to school I parked in my usual parking space. I texted Lyric asking her if she was here yet.

"I'm about to go. There goes Dre and them right there" Kensie pointed.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and grabbed my books from the back.

"Chrissy," I could hear Kensie yelling as she tried to catch up with them.

I grabbed my phone from the aux cord and hopped out of the truck walking towards them.

"Good morning, party people," I forced a smile although I would rather be in bed right now.

We all sat down on the benches in front of the school, chopping it up waiting for the bell to ring.

I looked at my timeline, not really in the mood to talk. It was still early and I'm not a morning person at all.

"What's up," I heard August speak but I kept my head down.

I honestly didn't want to talk and I knew he would grind my ears if I let him.

Things were going smoothly between the two of us and even me hanging out with their group. They made me comfortable and I appreciated them a lot for that.
