When we were little, we would spent most of our time with dad. Until our parents got divorced. Dad hired a nanny to take care of us for when we would work late. I think thats how Cole started liking tea; whenever he was sad , the nanny would make him a warm cup of tea and talk with him about whats bothering him.
When Cole turned 18 , dad wanted him to work for the family business. But Cole wanted to everything but to run the family business. They got into afight anddad was like ' you either work for the family business or you leave the house '. Of corse, Cole being the hot tempered guy he is , refused to work for the family business and left the house. Im happy that they are talking to each other now though.
"Where's uncle Cole?" Art asks me as he walks back in the bedroom
"I dont know. He probably went to buy tea" I reply ,rubbing my eyes with the back of my palm
"Mom?" Art asks me. putting his head on my belly.
"Yeah?" I ask him back
"Did you get angry when i told you that i was a brother or a sister last night?"
"What? Of course not baby. What would you think that?"
"Because I heard dad and uncle Cole saying that you atr angry about that" Art says , looking at me andwaiting to hear what i have to say
"Well maybe you didnt hear well. Now lets go to the kitchen and make some muffins" I say , putting on a smile on my face and tickling Art and the room fills with giggles
After Art eats his muffins , he sits on the sofa and watches another episode of Spongebob. I walk into balcony and sit down next to Shawn, who is practising withhis guitar.
"Good morning"He says , putting his guitar down and reaching for his mug filled with coffee
"Good morning"I say back
"So whats up?" He asks me, putting his mug and looking at me
"Art heard you talking with Cole last night. He thinks that im angry because he wants a sibling"
"Look, I understand if you are not ready for another baby." Shawn says
"I know that i overreacted last night."
"Kind of. I just wanted to kiss you" He says , taking a sip from his cup of coffee
"Can i ask you a question?" I ask him
"Yeah" he says
"Do you want to have another baby?"
"Of course. When i saw in the park , my heart started to race. And then i saw Art. At first, i was confused but I'm grab that we randomly met at the park again because i love both you and Art. I'm ready to have another baby with you" Shawn says, with a smile on his face
We stand up and walk back inside. Art is still watching Spongebob so we sit on couch and watch the episode with Art. A few minutes later , someone knows on the door. I can tell that it's Cole. I stand up and openthe door
"Surprise" dad says , engalfing me into a hug
"Dad" I say, happily "What are you doing here?"
"I booked him a flight to come" Cole says ,walking to the house andcarrying dad's luggage
"Well it's Shawn's house so you have asked him first" I say, as dad walks inside and I close the door
"It was my idea actually" Shawn says
"Really?"
"Yeah. I mean it's your birthday"
