It's Friday. Which means that Shawn's song is already out. I haven't listened to it yet. But from what I read on IG and twitter , fans are shook with this song. In a good way. They are sending lovely and supportive messages on Twitter and IG.
So now , it's my turn to listen to the song. Bring me my tissues
Art is still sleeping , since it's 7 AM. I put my headphones on and open Spotify. Oh, there's the ad telling me to listen to Shawn's song.
The song starts playing and the melody is actually different. Same but different. How is that even possible?
The first parts are the same with like small changes. Same goes with the chorus. Until the bridge , which connects the chorus with the other lyrics, comes

The song goes on and I admit, the lyrics are so powerful and true. I'm such an idiot. I should have told him about my pregnancy. Shit
I take off my headphones and wipe away the tears from my eyes. I unlock my phone to see my notifications once again. People absolutely love the song. Yet , they are still confused since they don't know the whole story.
I see one post a fan uploaded, saying that Shawn is still in NYC as he has an interview with Billboard.
"Can we go see dad?" Art asks.
"Weren't you sleeping?" I ask him as he comes and sits next to me
Art is just looking at the door , waiting for someone to knock. Right now, I'm just thinking what people think about the song.Andrew, Geoff, Tom, Teddy, his parents , Aaliyah, everyone.
Sky, Cole and dad have been sending me messages since 5 AM which means they have already heard the song and they are shook
"Shawn said he would come today" Art says looking at me
"What day is it?" I ask him
"I dont know" he says shrugging his shoulders
Maybe I should take him to see Shawn. I mean, everyone already knows about Art.
After a few minutes of silence, someone rings the doorbell
"It's dad, it's dad" Art says happily, starting running the door, tripping a couple of times. He took that from Shawn
I walk to the door , picking Art up first. He is so excited.
I open the door and it's Shawn. What about the interview? Anyways , I let him come in. let Art down and he just runs to Shawn.
"Don't you have an interview?" I ask Shawn as he plays with Art
"Did you listen to my song?" Shawn asks me
"I did" I say and Shawn nods
"And what do you think of it?" Shawn asks again
"I can't say anything. It's the truth, isn't it?" I ask him
He looks at me and I look at him , without saying anything.
"Why don't you stay here?" Art asks Shawn.
How do you explain this whole situation to a 3 year old?
"It's complicated. When you grow up , you will understand" Shawn says and gets back to playing with Art's toy cars
Maybe I should let Shawn and Art spend more time together. But at the same time , I don't know how this will work out
"When does your interview start?" I ask him
"Andrew said I should be there by 9 PM so you have enough time to get ready" Shawn says
"Get ready for what?" I ask him
"For the interview. I want you guys to be there" Shawn says
Art seems excited. So I guess we are going to Shawn's interview
