Explaining my dad that I'm pregnant gave me the weirdest feeling. I don't know if he is happy for me , or not.

"Did you know about this?" My dad asks Sky

"Of course i knew. I'm her big sister.  I know everything about her" Sky says. She is only 3 years older than me but she is still proud for being a big sister

"Dad, I can do this on my own. No matter what you think or believe , you can't change my opinion" I openly state and my dad takes off his glasses

Having a baby at the age of 20 might sound weird as I'm still a child and my dad thinks I'm too immature to take such a responsibility

"What if Shawn wants to take the baby away from you as soon as it is born? What if he harms you? What if the media harms you Violet? You are sure you can handle this situation?" My dad asks me

This feeling is so alien. My dad , had never been here for me . And of sudden , he gives me all these father- daughter feeling I missed

"Dad look , no matter what happens , me and Violet will always be here for you. We will be your girls. You are gonna be a grandpa. Isn't that great . An unborn child shouldn't be welcomed with an abhorring attitude but with the feelings of love and support. " Sky says , defending me

I think my dad's biggest fear is the Media. Shawn has always been in the centre of the spotlight and my dad always wanted to have a good impression for the company and our family

"I'm just shocked right now. Shawn got engaged. You are pregnant. You sent him a voice mail. We want to avoid the worst. But what will you do? It's a baby. You can't keep it a secret. Especially now that it's more luckily for everyone to find out about your pregnancy" my dad says

"If things go wrong, I will simply move to NYC. We have our own house there. I can start my life , with my baby . Without Shawn. I don't care if he doesn't want this child. I'm gonna be the baby's family. Like you were ours. " I say and Sky looks at me like she tries to say how proud she is

My dad takes a few deep breaths before finally saying something.

"You gonna raise the baby on your own. Sky will help you if you choose to move in NYC. I'm going to do the best for my grandkid. I'm gonna deal with the rumours, as long as you deal with Shawn" my dad , kissing my forehead and then exiting my room

I look at Sky and she looks at me .

"You know that he will start looking at our baby photos and telling you how he remembers the day you were born right?" Sky says making me laugh

"I didn't even expect him to take it that way. I thought he would be like in a state of craze or something similar to that" I say, looking at my notifications

"Yeah but you have to deal with Shawn. How are you gonna do that?"

"Sky?"

"Violet?"

"Shawn took the first flight he could and he is coming to LA to see me. He heard the voice mail. He knows I'm pregnant"
