I never thought dad would be so tough. I'm aware of his apathy for Cole,but this is not even logical.

"Are you really planning to call Cole?" Sky asks me , as she gets into my room

"That's what I'm thinking" I say

I found his number earlier. I just hope he hasn't changed his number since then. And even if he denies my offer, I'm perfectly fine by myself.

I call the number which is believed to be Cole's and wait for someone to answer the call

"He won't answer the call. Just stay here and get over the craze in your head" Sky says , leaving my room and closing the door silently behind her

I can clearly state that Sky is by dad's side. Even though she seemed to be by me. I don't care. I'm going to raise my baby all alone if I have too.

The line is still unanswered. I guess I will call another time. As I am about to press the red button, in order to end the call, Cole answers it.

"Hello?" Cole says through the phone

Holy shit

"Yeah, um hey" I say fidgety.

"Can I help you with something?" Cole asks in a polite way

"I just called to ask you something. I know it has been a long time since we last talked , but we are still siblings , right? And some pretty weird shit happened lately" I say, hoping he will understand who I am

There are a few seconds of silence , before someone speaks . I don't if it's for good or not

"Violet?Oh my god. How did you find my number? I mean , wow. How are you? Shit. I never expected to talk to you again. How's life?" Cole asks . I can tell he is happy talking to me

"Life is weird. Look ,I don't have much time . I just wanted to ask you if you want to move to NYC with me ." I offer him

"New York? You know that I'm in medical school in Nebraska, right?"

"Yes ,I know that. It's just , dad and Sky are not by my side on this. And you are the only person I can rely on" I confess, not telling him about my pregnancy

"Rely on me about what? I hope it's not something illegal" Cole jokes about it

"No it's not. So , will you come to New York with me ? I know I'm asking way too much " I ask him

I'm blunt , what can I do about it?

"I will think about it. When are you flighting for New York?" Cole asks me

"Tomorrow morning. " I simply answer.

"Okay, you will find out if I will move in with you , when you land in New York" Cole says , ending the call

Wow, that's wasn't only the quickest call ever but also the weirdest. It's weird cause we hadn't talked to each other for like 3-4 years and now I just asked him to move to New York.

Some might call me an egoist, as if he really comes with me ,Cole will give up on the life he has in Nebraska and start a new in New York.

I hope this new start. ,will be better than ever before
