She was afraid that it was all a dream, that'd accidentally slipped into a tempting abyss of slumber, or had simply hallucinated it all from lack of sleep, but it wasn't a dream, it was real life.
They unhooked him from the machines that had once kept his heart beating. He was alive, and awake. Not very coherent yet, but he was conscious, which was more than enough for Julia, and everyone else.
Kurts bright blue orbs were glued to his lover. He couldn't quite form words yet, or really move, but his thoughts were quite fond of her.
She smiled gently his way, tears steaming down her face.
Dave was right by his side too. He was biting back tears as he watched his closest friend regain consciousness. He finally felt sane again. He locked eyes with Julia, smiling in relief.
She turned away, wiping her eyes. Him being back felt surreal. His body had been there for the past few days, but his soul, was far off. Julia felt like she had a missing part of herself back.
Finally, she felt complete again.
