Finding Me

Our Spot

We decided to Meet at our spot, the dock from the day we first kissed. I get there before him, my body humming with nervousness. The sun glows orange in the sky, todays sunset is especially gorgeous, it makes me smile. I sit at the end of the dock, letting my toes dip into the water. It's warm, and the water relaxes me as usual. I make patterns in the water, watching the water ripple out. I spell words out in the water, an old habit of mine. I take a deep breathe the salty water stings my nose.
"Have you been waiting long?" I hear behind me, I turn quickly my heart racing.
"Jesus, you scared me" I say, a blush blooming over me.
"Sorry" he murmurs sitting down beside me. His legs are longer than mine so his feet are fully immersed in the water.
"I haven't been waiting that long" I answer his question from earlier, he nods. An awkward silence sits between us, making my blush spread.
"I'm sorry vi" he finally says, his voice quiet.
"I know" I respond, staring out at the sunset.
"I should have told you about Deena, I just... I don't even know why I didn't?" He says, that's when I look at him. He looks tired, his hair is a mess, and his clothes are splattered with various food stains. I wanna run my fingers through his hair, I want to kiss the tiredness from his body, but I refrain, playing with the hem of my shirt instead.
"I believe you" I say, he let's out a visible breath
"I just can't... I can't get the two of you out of my head" I explain, my gut twists.
"Vi, I'm... what can I do?" He asks, his voice exhausted. I look at him again, his face looks so concerned, so entirely worried. I know I'm being dramatic, it's not like he did anything on purpose.
"I'm sorry Kai, for... for not. God how do I put this" I mutter, my mind moving a mile a minute.
"You have nothing to be sorry for" he interrupts
"No, I do, just please listen" I tell him
"I'm sorry for being so dramatic, and untrustworthy. You've proven to me time and time again that I can trust you. I know that I have issues, and you've never made me feel like... like well I have issues, so thank you, and I'm sorry" I blurt out, hoping he understands. His face looks passive, I can't quite figure out what he's feeling.
"I'm only gonna say this once Violet, so listen to me okay. Nothing is wrong with you, you're the most amazing person I've ever met. You're smart, funny, unbelievably kind, sexy, and you're so forgiving. I don't even find girls attractive anymore, I only see you, every day every hour I just want you, it's fucking crazy. You've got me completely and you don't even know it. I want you for you, I don't look past anything about you, I don't forgive  you for who you are I love every fucking part of you Violet every part." He explains. I stare at him shocked, I was not expecting that.
"You really love me" I say, making him laugh loudly.
"Yeah I really love you" he responds making me smile. I don't hold myself back this time, I lung at him, our lips melting together, as I straddle him. He hums as I run my finger through his hair pulling slightly. His fingers run done my sides sending waves of electricity throughout my body.
"I wish I met you earlier" I whisper against his lips, he growls lowly.
"You're perfect Violet" he says, his eyes intense.
"No ones perfect" I respond
"Okay well you're the closest thing to it" he relents making me laugh.
"Don't hide anything from me again" I say, he nods, and salutes me.
"Scouts honour" he says, I shove him, and almost fall back into the water, he holds me steady.
"That's what you get" he says, I groan, before pulling him into another kiss.
"Come on let's go tell Kalani, she's probably going crazy" I say, he laughs.
"Ya and I need to change" he says as I move off of him, to stand up.
"I wasn't gonna say anything but you need a shower to" I tell him, while helping him up.
"Just as long as you join me" he quips, I smirk.
"Obviously" I respond, making him pull me in, his fingers moving slowly up my sides, as his eyes lock on my lips.
"Don't tease me" he whispers, my body heats, and my breathing turns shallow.
"I think you can attest to the fact that when I start something I finish it" I respond, licking my lips. His eyes burn with desire making pride burst in my chest.
"You really are fucking perfect" he says just before capturing my lips in a heated kiss. I moan as he deepens the kiss, my knees turning to mush.
"Come on we should go before we get caught, and charged with public indecency" I say pulling him down the dock towards the parking lot. We drive to Kai's house, our hands intertwined the entire way.
"I'm home" Kai yells once we're inside.
"In the living room" Kalani yells back.
"So how did it go?" She asks eyes still glued to the TV screen.
"Pretty good" I say plopping down next to her, she squeals and hugs me.
"I knew it, you two couldn't stay away from each other." She says making me laugh and blush.
"Nope we can't, and now I'm gonna go take a shower cause I recently learned I needed one" Kai says, giving me a quick kiss.
"You do" Kalani says
"Shut it, after do you guys wanna go surfing?" Kai asks, Kalani nods vigorously.
"Hell ya, and we're inviting Dylan" she says, I nod pulling out my phone.
"I'll call him" I say, she nods. I call Dylan while Kai showers, he agrees to meet us.
"Hurry up Kai" Kalani screams down the hall, as we pack some towels in a bag.
"I'm coming Jesus" he says coming out of the bathroom a towel draped across his waist, water droplet cascading down him. My mouth goes bone dry. He catches my eyes a smirk popping up on his face.
"You could have joined" he says making me blush violently.
"Shut it" I say, as Kalani comes out of her room.
"Guys come on stop, Kai go get dressed, and both of you stop drooling" She demands, making both of us laugh.
"I'm going I'm going" Kai surrenders. Kalani and I wait outside for him, the boards already packed in the car.
"Finally" She says once Kai appears at the car.
"Just get in" he says. His hairs still wet, and he's wearing a black v neck with some red board shorts. Dylan's waiting for us at the beach, his board under his arm.
"Sorry for the wait, these two couldn't stop staring at each other" Kalani tells Dylan.
"Oh I haven't been waiting that long" he says, making me smile.
"Yeah Kalani's just dramatic" Kai says handing me my board. I send a quick text to my aunt telling her where I am. She replies immediately with a thumbs up.
"Everything okay?" Kai asks once I put my phone back in my bag
"Yeah just told aunt V where I was" I say, he nods giving me a quick peck. The waves roll in fast tonight, the breeze whipping our hair.
"Kinda rough out" Kalani says, I nod.
"Consider it a challenge" Dylan says peeling off his shirt and placing it in my bag
"Your on" I shout rushing into the water, Dylan quickly follows.
