Chapter Ten: When DJs Irritate Kyoi

GENEVIEVE'S POV

When we got to the dance, the DJ played my favorite song, Shine, so I started dancing and finally convinced Ken.

But Kyoi was in the corner and I pulled her over to Joe.

After that the DJ made us slow dance, so she slapped him and made him change the song!

It was hilarious!

SAM'S POV

Louis and I were having the time of our lives. Everyone else seemed to be too. I was happier than usual.

And trust me, that is saying something!

DELANEY'S POV

We took each other's hands and smiled at each other again, white as a sheet.

"Well, DJ's orders," I whispered. Koichi nodded.

When I imagined me at my first dance, I never expected it to be so magical.

As we started to dance, we heard footsteps.

Angry footsteps.

We looked to see Kyoi slap the DJ in the face, change the song, and grab the mic.

"You are no longer forced to dance. DJ's orders!" She walked away and smacked the wall with Joe.

Sure she had ruined my romantic moment, but Koichi and I still both seemed to want to share this moment on the dance floor together.

We began dancing. The DJ looked annoyed. Koichi and I looked at each other again.

We do this A LOT.

We held each other's hands and made eye contact.

Though I promised myself I'd never leap into romance, this felt different somehow. Because now I knew what it was like to have such strong emotions.

I'd never really felt love so deep before.

I loved it.

KYOI'S POV

Joe and I started talking about random things which led to everyone's outfits.

Some were really nice, and this one guy actually wore a sparkly suit. I then got up to walk over to Mimi and talk a little bit when something happened.

You see there's this one chick, NJ (don't ask what it stands for) and she's a jerk.

She's just a jeeerrrrk. So I was walking over to Mimi and something happened.

I felt a tug on my dress. I stepped forward and slipped.

This is such a big deal because I have a phobia of falling.

A serious fear of falling.

And when my feet weren't on the ground anymore, I let out a semi-second long shriek.

My body immediately froze, and all I could see was stark white and void black at the same time.

I couldn't even think.

Tears were gushing down my emotionless face uncontrollably. I blinked once I hit the ground, but I couldn't feel nor do anything. Tears kept streaking down my face as Ellie ran over.

And with Ellie came Izzy. Then Joe. Then Mimi. Then Tai. Then Sora. Then Matt.

I didn't know if I felt embarrassed by seeing the 'always strong girl' traumatized, because frankly, I couldn't feel anything. But I might have. Especially around Matt, Sora, and Tai.

Oh gosh, what are they going to think of me now?!?

ELLIE'S POV

Before the falling incident we did a little something.

With our dates, Kyoi, Genevieve, Sam, Delaney, and I got a group picture.

Kyoi stole Joe's glasses, Genevieve and Ken held roses that looked like the Digi Egg of Kindness while holding hands, Sam held pizza while Louis looked disgusted, me and Izzy took a selfie,and Koichi and Delaney smiled at each other.

I hoped that I could get that picture and make it my new laptop wallpaper!
