Chapter Thirty Four: A Zephyr At Sunset

CHAPTER 34:KYOI'S POV

Joe and I walked together. We hadn't found anything. But then, as a girl walked by us, I felt a warm feeling in my pocket.

The tag!

I pulled it out and held it closer to the girl. It glowed even brighter.

Joe seemed to notice too. "Hi! What's your name?" Joe asked with a smile.

We had to get this kid to like us if she really was the seventh child, and by the glow of the tag, I'm positive to say she is.

"Why do you want to know?" the girl challenged. She had her fit hand as a fist. It was glowing slightly, and I wondered what could be inside of her tight fist.

"Do you know what a Digimon is?" Joe asked.

The girl froze. The glow from her hand got brighter. "Yes. Heck, you guys have a Gomamon and a Betamon! Would I know the names of them it I didn't know?!?"

Geez. This kid has attitude.

"Do you have one of these?" I asked, holding up my Digivice.

Fumbling her hand around in her pocket, she pulled one out. It was the same first model like Joe and I's, so I was positive she was one of us.

"Listen okay. There is another world the Digital World, and that's where Digimon live. People know as DigiDestined protect both of the worlds from evil. You,like us, are part of that team," Joe explained.

"And you'll need this." I handed the girl the tag.

The glow in her hand became blinding, and a small shape floated into the tag. The glow in her hand was...a crest.

"Thanks. And I'm Zephyr." The girl looked at her tag and crest in her right hand and Digivice in the left.

"I'm Joe, and this is Kyoi. So Zephyr, do you want to to help us fight evil?" Joe asked.

She smiled. "I was one of the winners of that contest! And if Digitala City is what I think, than yes!" Zephyr smiled brightly.

Finally she had let go of that attitude!

I held my Digivice up to my mouth. "You guys! I've found the seventh kid! Meet me on Pine Crossing," I said.

Sitting down, I felt an ache in my legs. After a few minutes, I saw five figures walking closer.

It was Delaney, Koichi, Koji, Sam, and Louis. Ellie and Izzy walked closer as well. Genevieve, Ken and Davis didn't take much longer to arrive, and finally Kira and Willis met us.

"So, I'd like you to meet Zephyr. She's the seventh child," Joe introduced.

Everyone else waved. A light came drifting down to Zephyr. It took an oval shape before becoming 3-dimensional.

A Digi-Egg!

A crack developed once Zephyr touched it. A small Digimon popped out.

Scanning it on my Digivice, I realized it was a Yuramon. I heard a rustle.

"Flamemon," Delaney muttered in annoyance. The Digimon everyone recognized jumped towards us.

"Oooooh. Everyone's all together. This will be eeeeeaaaaaasssssssyyyyyyy!" Flamemon giggled innocently.

I wanted to wipe that smile off her face.

My eyes narrowed.

FLAMEMON'S POV

There was someone new with them. She had auburn hair which was in a ponytail and rather spiky. Her bangs were shaped to cover about half of her left eye. She had dark brown eyes and was slightly tanned. She held a Yuramon. It began to glow.

"YURAMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...TANEMON!"

My eyes widened.

I could report back to Myotismon now.

Consider the seventh child found.
