Chapter Thirty Six: Blame It On The Flame

DELANEY'S POV

I sat on a bench. Stupid Bakemon. What were they doing?

I felt myself get shoved into the mall.

I saw a flash of blue a few feet away.

And not just any blue.

Kyoi blue.

I ran for her, weaving in and out of people. I gripped her arm with a tight death grip out of fear of being crushed and trampled.

"Delaney! Gosh, for being silent, you sure are strong!" Kyoi said.

"And what does THAT mean?!?" I asked.

"Forget it. Where are the others?"

"I don't know. I think the guys went back to the Digital World. The girls are somewhere. Not sure about them," I replied.

I saw a flash of darkness.

What was that?

FLAMEMON'S POV

I jumped from light to light in the mall. I stopped on the top floor.

"Myotismon," I whispered.

The vampire Digimon appeared. "Thank you for telling me the child's identity. In return, you get a little...upgrade," Myotismon smirked.

A group of black gears came crashing into me. I remembered them distantly.

One of them had gotten in my wrist about two months ago.

Ever since, I couldn't remember much, like amnesia.

My colors darkened. I let out a shriek of pain and shock. My eyes widened.

I nodded in thanks at Myotismon and jumped away. I saw two of those kids a few feet away. I didn't have the time for that.

The other kid was the important one.

SAM'S POV

FlareMeramon.

I smiled slightly.

The Bakemon looked nervous. They should be. I motioned for FlareMeramon to go.

"Flame Hurricane!" FlareMeramon shouted.

A blazing fire sparked at the tip of his flame, and it advanced on the fleeing Bakemon. The fire won the race, and I smiled as the Bakemon turned to data and returned to the other world.

"Alright!" I shouted. FlareMeramon picked up Kira, Otamamon, and I.

He floated over to the mall. He flew in the doors and we spotted Kyoi and Delaney.

"Zephyr. I saw Flamemon and I think she's looking for Zephyr," Delaney said. My eyes widened. "

I can stay here and fight the Bakemon with Kyoi. And hey! It's Genevieve!" Kira shouted, pointing at Genevieve, who was coming closer. I nodded.

I glanced at Wizardmon. Delaney nodded.

"WIZARDMON, DIGIVOLVE TO...FIRESORCERMON!" FireSorcermon appeared.

Delaney grinned and hopped into his arms.

FlareMeramon levitated higher, and FireSorcermon did the same.

We floated out the doors.

ZEPHYR'S POV

I was terrified. I was still in my room.

Gathering my courage, I left my room and stopped on the street outside my apartment.

"Zephyr!"

I looked up to see Delaney and Sam coming closer.

"Hey! Where are the others?" I asked.

"Genevieve, Kyoi, and Kira are at the mall freeing the people up there. Ellie is...somewhere. The guys left," Sam explained.

I turned around after hearing a rustle. I felt a tight grip on my wrist.

"FLAMEMON!" Delaney yelled in annoyance.

Gosh.

For being so quiet, she can scream loud.

Flamemon giggled and snapped. Ghosts appeared.

I saw Floramon next to me. Some ghost things took us closer to the mall.

Where was Ellie when you needed her?!?
