Chapter Two: Arrival at the Academy

GENEVIEVE'S POV

At first, I was puzzled. A school? I would go, I guess, but I was only doing it for my curiosity.

At the school, I walked with my shoulder bag. I turned a corner and nearly knocked a boy over.

"Sorry!" he told me.

"It's okay. I'm Genevieve," I responded.

"I'm Ken. This is my partner, Wormmon." He held a worm-like creature.

"Partner?" I asked as I walked with him.

"My Digimon partner."

"What's a Digimon?" I asked.

"A Digital Monster," Ken replied. "This is my room." We had stopped outside a room. Ken opened the door.

"Looks nice," I told him. He blushed.

"Who's the girl?" I whipped my head to see a boy with goggles.

"This is my roommate, Davis. Davis, meet Genevieve."

"Hi," I told Davis.

"Someone in love?" Davis said playfully.

"Of course not," Ken told him.

"Where's your room?" Davis asked.

"I don't know." I cut him off before he could tease Ken and I again. "I don't think I have one," I responded.

"Why not here?" Davis suggested. "Gives you and Ken time to hang out."

"There's an empty bed by the window," Ken told me. I put my bag down on the bed. "Ignore Davis. He tries to get with a girl and it fails."

"It's okay. I'm kind of used to it." I looked distant. Then a knock came.

KYOI'S POV

What in the world? I wonder about this school thing. As I walked down the hall, I found a girl. She seemed busy. I decided I'd follow her and talk in a while. She had straight hair. She walked with a boy. When she entered a dorm room, I waited until the talking ceased.

I knocked quietly. "Who is it?" It was one of the boys that had spoken.

"I'll get it." This was the boy that girl was talking to. The door opened. "Genevieve, do you know her?" The boy asked.

"No." This was the girl.

"I'm new here," I told them.

"I heard about an open room in the Dorm Hallway 1. Two boys and a girl live there. I know they have an open space. You can live there," the boy that was with the girl said.

"So which door?" I asked.

"It's green, gray, and purple. You'll spot it easily." I stayed quiet.

I couldn't tell them my biggest secret. My color blindness. "Well, what are your names?" I questioned, avoiding the topic.

"I'm Davis. This is Ken and Genevieve." The boy with goggles had talked.

"I'm Kyoi. I should be going." I waved and walked out the door. Hopefully I'd find this door. I tried to distract myself, but that was hard given the fact I didn't want to mention my color blindness but I needed help.
