Mondays.
You know why I love Mondays?
I don't.
Did you really think I was gonna give you a reason as to why I love Mondays? People don't like Mondays. It's a well known fact.
Yesterday I went for a ride on my bike. It's one of my favorite things to do. It gives me time to think about life and to enjoy the scenery.
Well, not really. I just enjoy fast things. And it's a real chick magnet.
"HI SNAKE!" I shouted into his ear when I arrived at school. We went out yesterday evening and he had a few drinks. By a few I mean he drank pretty much everything in sight so I knew he'd be enjoying a nice hangover now.
"Fuck off." Snake groaned. So I know you're probably wondering if his real name is Snake. It's not. His parents did not make the conscious decision of naming their kid Snake.
There's a story behind his nickname but I can't remember it.
His name just adds to his image though. People at school have the tendency to give Snake his space. Well, not just Snake, all of my friends. Maybe it's because he's a big tall guy.
He seems intimidating and you probably can't take him in a fight but he's a nice guy.
The fact that he can make a mean strawberry pie is not the main reason why he's my friend but it plays a big part.
He had covered his brown eyes with sunglasses. It made him look like a douchebag but knowing the reason made it funny.
"Dude, you were thirsty last night." I said while heading into the building towards our lockers. I nodded at a few girls and most of them averted their eyes shyly.
"I was just having fun. Is school always this loud?" Snake asked. Yes it was.
"HI SNAKE!" Gwen appeared behind us. I gave her a high five. Gwen was like the female version of me. She liked to hook up with people at parties.
Weirdly enough we'd never hooked up with each other. It seemed wrong. She's like my sister.
"Even your hair hurts to look at right now. Where are my sunglasses?" Snake told Gwen. I could understand though. Gwen's hair color of this month was a greenish blue.
"You're wearing them." Gwen answered Snake. I could see she pitied the guy. We all did.
"Where's Jill?" Gwen asked no one in particular.
"It's Monday morning. She's probably sleeping." I shrugged. We never saw her in the morning.
We said our goodbyes when the bell rang.
The disadvantage of going to a big school was you don't have a lot of classes with your friends. The benefit was that there were a lot of girls. And I mean a lot. I like those odds.
"Hey, I heard we had a sub for math today!" Travis said when I was walking to, yep you guessed it, math.
Travis reminded me of Beavis from Beavis and Butt-head. If you don't know that show you're seriously missing out on life. Anyway, Travis' hair looks like blonde pubic hair and he has the same nose as Beavis.
And he's kind of a dweeb.
"Really? You go ahead, I'll be right there." I answered Beavis. I mean Travis. Whatever.
"Sure." He shrugged and went to class.
I wanted to see who this sub was and lucky for me I didn't have to wait long.
