I hoped my mouth wouldn't start foaming

Tessa

Stupid stupid stupid. Stupid.

How could I have let this happen?

Because I'm stupid, that's why.

I knew about Jake's reputation and I'd fallen for it. His dark brown eyes had sucked me in. Those beautiful, dark chocolate, hypnotising eyes.

Damn it, Tessa.

Not to mention I went towards the opposite direction when I was running away from him.

I facepalmed.

The girls had warned me I'd fall for his charm. I just thought I had a little more backbone. Turns out, I didn't.

Well, at least that's over. We had kissed so he'd go to his next girl. It was over and done, he could disappear from my life. Everything was fine again.

He had good arms though.

His biceps flexed when he had moved his hands to my hips. It felt amazing having my hands all over them. I had a thing for arms. That probably made me weird so I guess it's my deep dark secret.

And Jake's arms were droolworthy.

Snap out of it already!

No more Jake. Even though he was a really good kisser. Well, that was expected if you kiss everything that moves. Who knew what kind of diseases he had.

I should wash my mouth with soap. Maybe it could undo some of the damage.

That was how I'd spend my morning. I'd woken up before my alarm and started losing my mind slowly but surely. There was still an hour left before I had to get ready for school. My mind was too occupied with drooling over arms to fall back to sleep again.

I needed some good coffee. I decided to text Grace, hoping she'd be awake at this hour.

Hey, do you know a good coffee place? -Tessa

I usually don't type my name after a text. It seemed like something old people would do. You know, people that don't know anything about technology. I never got that, writing your name after a text as if you couldn't see who it was from in the first place.

The only reason I did it was because Grace didn't have my number yet and I didn't want to seem like a creepy stalker.

A sense of relief hit me when I got a text back.

Sure! Meet me at school in 30min, we'll go together! x

I wasn't sure if coffee was such a good idea for someone as energetic as Grace. I could imagine she'd start crawling towards the ceiling with too much coffee in her system.

Slightly scared and excited I jumped into the shower so I could get ready.

This is what I've learned today. Shower cream may smell nice, but doesn't taste nice. I wanted to get rid of the Jake germs so I figured, why not? Oh no, I've become one of the reasons why people put warning labels on stuff. This is what boys and a lack of sleep do to me.

Half an hour later I was waiting for Grace in the school parking lot. My mouth still felt a little too clean but I decided to ignore it. People didn't need to know about my stupidity.

"Morning Tess! Let's go, it's not far." Grace said and gestured me to follow her. It really wasn't a long walk. Five minutes later we were sitting in a booth.

I studied the menu and suddenly life got hard again. There were so many choices.

"What are you drinking?" I asked Grace.
